Photos Knives & Guns

Vetting completed on this one with the 3rd range trip yesterday. Final EDC config: Ed Brown Mag-Well & Wilson 47 magazines, EGW guide rod, Hornady 45ACP 185gr XTP, finger grip.

A little and I welcome it and so will the wife: I did the math, and it should be ~10% recoil energy reduction (185 XTP vs 230 Speer). But more importantly: it's reliable now, no shells hitting my head, no more occasional feeding failure :)

BTW, many thanks to our resident 1911 expert Alone Alone for patiently guiding me through this remotely ...

Glad they helped. Reliability is what matters.
 
When USPS rains, it pours. In addition to the leather holster shown in the EDC thread, there was a Kydex paddle holster and new grips (Altamont - better fit than Hogue which I had to shim).

A Vedder holster which I picked because it was the smallest I could find. Very well done.
