  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Knives with really cool handles

I really do not understand how I missed showing
the work of Arpad Botjos....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Cool stuff.. especially that Broadwell/Foster.

Here is one I did from cedar driftwood that I found and stablilized. Wish I could find more like this...

Very nice Scott. I like the natural stuff! To me that says "ambitious"- using such a deeply figured, and irregular material. It is a beautiful job!

Thanks David. Yeah, I used to do that a lot back in my ren-faire days. Just simple stuff. Picked up a PowerCarver recently and am loving the 400,000 RPMs :-) You know, there is a knifemaker out there who has a really good video on carving metal and wood. Great stuff - you should check it out, Dave, might learn somethin'.

BTW, great thread. All these handles are awesome!!!

Thanks for the tip, Michael. I'll have to look for that video.

Here's a quick picture of some turkish walnut and wrought iron I'm carving.
