Knives You Hate!!

LOL agreed! You don't see enough wizard skulls on knives these days. I see plenty of skulls, but how do I know they're actual wizard skulls? I mean, wizards look like everyone else.

Oh, you'll know it's a wizard skull when you show it off to someone who really knows knives: most will immediately drop to the floor and roll around in a teary-eyed fit, slapping their knees in a vain attempt to regain motor control. Some will pee a little, all will beg you to put it away. That's wizard skull power, friendo, and it knows no saving throw...

:D

You should, and if for no other reason then for that one post that slipped by the constabulary in some other thread.

Certainly feel free to report to the mods any of my posts you feel they have missed.

I'm with Saint Loke. I hate scandi grinds. They are terrible cutters and its time for everyone to get over them and move on already.

Along the same lines....saber ground folders. Utter nonsense.

Oh my...I'm glad I haven't come across a folder with such graphics. I don't think I'm ready for that kind of responsibility. Too much power for a wee lad of 31 years.

Anything by SOG - I've owned several, and each one had some sort of defect - some minor, some annoying, and some completely unacceptable. Now they are on my "Never Buy Again" list.

I forgot about SOG...

SOG is the worst! The lemons I've bought all had poor blade centering and strange design choices. One example is the Slim jim. It scratches up my hand every time i stick my hand down the pocket where I have my knife clipped. Pointy and square metal parts that scratches up both fabric and tissue, I'd give that a solid F in pocket knife design.

I got one of those too, the SlimJim XL. I had to sandpaper all the rough edges in order not to get blisters to be able to use it at all. SOG claim it's the slimmest assisted knife on the market which may be true but it is also the weakest I might add. More or less useless and you have to hit exact the right angle and amount of force just to open it.

And don't forget the thumbstuds that sticks out and catches everything when the blade is closed and are placed halfway down the blade which really get's in the way if you are trying to cut anything! :)

But it is easy to carry, that's true.

I got 2 different SOG spec elite autos and they would never lock up! And 100 dollars + for aus 8? no way

I hate the Benchmade 940 Osborne and on a serious level. If I opened the 940 Osborne on the ground with the blade open and locked I could dent the scales massively with my REKAT Pioneer II.I get people like the lightness factor but the materials are extremely thin gauged.Had a really crappy edge grind on the blade and a lot of side to side play out of the box.And I'm convinced the Axis Lock is the best short dual omega spring lock design. But not convinced it's better than the REKAT's Rolling Lock...those locks are built to match the 5oz. weight of tough user knives.

kershaw lifter. doesnt hold even a profesionally sharpened edge for crap and though it dont look bad it is horrible ergonomics for extended use. that and the gerber suspension multitool. too bulky for the price with a uselessly small blade not very comfortable and not the best quality for the price.

Kershaw Leek. I know it's popular. And I know I'm supposed to like it because it's generally considered a good knife. But every time I pick up the damn thing I remember all the reasons I dislike it and refuse to carry it. First it's assisted opening and I'm not very fond of that feature. But I could live with the assisted opening except for the location of the stupid safety lock. It makes it a two-hand knife a lot of the time...yet you best use the safety lock because, otherwise, it pops open with just a touch.

But mainly the knife just feels wrong. It's too thin and too slippery. Even when my hands are dry, I cannot get a decent grip on the thing. It slips around in my hand while I try to open it and it slips around in my hand when I try to use it. I keep it to open mail but usually I just ignore it. I really should give it to someone I dislike or throw it away. Hate it.

Wouldn't say hate but don't really like the pm2. Have had a couple and the most I felt about it was meh. I know it seems to fit a lot of people to a t but personally just not into it

I'm going to have to add one more to my hate....the highly popular Kershaw Skyline. The lock-up is awful.I know here we go again ragging on lightweight but it's flimsy. There's no justifiable reason why one-handed zytel lockbacks are $20 yet the Skyline is $35-$40.I say one too many people have been following that YouTube reviewer 'Nutbfancy''s advice a little too literally as quality knives.

Cold Steel Finn Wolf. Wanted to love it so badly. The first thing I cut with it (plastic shrink wrap and plastic strapping) deeply chipped the blade in 3 different spots. Went in the drawer and haven't looked back. Don't want to sell it because if I got even $1 for the thing I feel like I would be pulling one over on the buyer. God I hate that knife.

I dislike any knife that is too bulky, and/or too heavy, and/or too awkward to carry for a full day. A good knife aught to be like a good boxing referee. You don't know he's there until you need him.
