Knives you wish were made

Why does case only use orange delrin on SS knoves
This blade combination would cover pretty much all of my daily needs:

Can't say I'd be in, but it's sure an interesting one and could I see it being popular.

Case mini trapper in green sparkle kirinite with a wharncliffe or sheepsfoot in place of the spey. That would be my favorite traditional ever.

A 47 hayn' helper with a punch. A four sheepfoot blades congress, 4 inches long.

That's all for now.

Dan.

I would like to see GEC make a Case Saddlehorn pattern 4 to 4 &1/4 .

Harry
Excellent choice.
The length might be a bit long, but I would love to see a GEC Saddlehorn.

I'd like to see:

• A full-sized Trapper with a caplifter in place of the spey.

• A Stockman with a caplifter in place of the spey

• A CK exclusive Italian-made lockback ( @knifeswapper )

• Some GEC stainless

More choices in a quality-made single-bladed lambfoot slip joint in a 3 to 3.5" closed length. My favourite blade profile used to be a wharny, but the lambfoot has taken over the top spot. THAT ought to be the 2020 Bladeforums knife!!!!

15 single blade clip long pull, medium coke bottle single blade. coffin single blade all with end cap

My top four "wish" knives...
GEC #71 Lockback
GEC #83 slipjoint
GEC 3-1/2" Lambsfoot
GEC 3-1/2" Mini Trapper

I LIKE the idea of a clip/"something" toothpick, with the "something" secondary being lambsfoot, or sheepsfoot, or coping, or wharncliffe, or spey, or pen, in order of my preference.

YEAH! Exactly like this, except I'd prefer to keep the spey and have a lambsfoot in place of the clip, and I'd prefer stag or ebony handle.

On the top of my list is a knife that's already been made, but isn't available. The GEC Cattle Baron. Or pretty much anything made on the 53 frame. 3 3/4" Sowbelly is high on my list.

Why 4 of the same shaped blade on one knife? I assume there is a specific purpose for that?

Yes. Four blades, two mains, two secondaries. Toothy edges on the mains (pull cuts), polished on the secondaries (push cuts). One main, one secondary sharpened at about 10 degrees per side and one main, one secondary sharpened at about 12.5 per side. I use my knives at different tasks but the task at which I judge a knife is wood carving. 10 degrees per side for soft wood, 12.5 for hard wood. Therefore an apparent redundancy, but, in practice four different blades for different uses. I do like sheep foot blades shape but it could applied to any blade shape.

Somehow I envision this (meaning the knife I posted the picture of) with about a 4 inch clip blade and cheap shell-construction handles stamped and painted to look like stag. I would still buy it.
