Knives you've seriously considered buying, but never pulled the trigger on

Any Chris Reeves.
Really want a TRC Apocolypse.

Really really want...

Yuo
Olamic Wayfarer. Love the knife, but it's just too dang nice for me too feel comfortable carrying!
can get a plain jane with blasted or stonewashed scales that will be great for carry. Still pricey at about 495 though.

I've always liked the Cold Steel Lawman but never got one. Now that they're s35, I feel like I missed my opportunity. If I find an XHP one cheap enough I'll probably get it.

One knife I slept on for years is the Microtech socom series. I have been extremely impressed with my Elite.

Holt Specter - Just can't see paying the crazy over table prices these are bringing. I've almost pulled the trigger a couple times but decided not to.

Shamwari and other various front flipper South African knives. Love the looks but not the front flipper. That and the aftermarket Sham prices are just stupid IMHO.
Holt is just another CNC knife bro. At retail, they're pushing it with the price.

Just a few then off the top of my head. They're have been plenty more over the years. Lot's of 'want' but not quite enough for me to hit the 'buy' button though it came very close in each case. Didn't buy either because of some aspect letting down the lust factor (usually steel or carry legality where I live) or common sense weirdly triumphing over lust in light of bank account deficiencies. :D

CRK Mnandi
Kizer Gemini
Kizer Feist
Hess Tiburon
LT Wright Genesis
GEC Churchill, Dog Leg Jack, Possum Skinner, Calf Roper and probably others
Northwoods Esky Zulu
Victorinox Settler (possibly my biggest regret, I could have got these while they were still cheap)
Victorinox Rancher
Victorinox Harvester
Maserin Plow
Cold Steel Lucky
Spyderco Roadie
Case Russlock
Artisan Biome
We Pleroma
Le Thiers Chambriard Compact
Steel Will Cutjack
Steel Will Intrigue
Benchmade Bone Collector (not sure what I was thinking at the time, really not my style)

There have been others but I can't quite dredge them out of the memory banks at present.

Spartan SHF. I've looked so many times. I love the cool scale graphics, it just seems like a USA made knife I should have. Honestly though the blade reminds me so much of a Buck 110 that I just haven't been able to pull the trigger. I don't understand why there's no sharpening choil, it's a perfect candidate to start recurving just like the Buck if used and sharpened much. I have an Akribis and a Pallus, they're nice (the Pallus may have the weakest detent of any of my knives beside maybe a SoCom elite manual).

Koenig Arius. Another one I just feel I should have in my collection but the aesthetics don't work for me no matter how many times I see one.

CRK nat micarta31. I have a nat micarta 21 insingo and a Zaan, and think I'd like a 21/31 drop point but I don't carry them enough to make me think a drop point would be any different.

Hinderer Full Track. I definitely want one but passed when they were available and now they just seem pricey. If I could find one w/a blade grind I want I'd jump now I think, regardless of the price.

I have 10 Hinderers and 7 Olamics, it's not like the above are out of reach, just creating some vacillating. I always seem to find something else when I'm considering one of the above.

I've tried to stay under $110 for my knife purchase.

Well, cancel post #174. Found a new CS Natchez Bowie, order confirmed. Not sure if it's O-1 or A-2, the ad copy had both alloys listed. Guess I'll find out in a couple of days. Not 3V, but also less than half the price. As I don't consider this to be a bushcraft/survival knife, the cable tang doesn't bother me in the slightest. Kinda excited now....

Shirogorov 111 - I had a HatiOn Zero and Quantum I loved, and I want to try the large liner-lock 111, I just haven't found any available that I like. They're hard to source.

Hinderer Halftrack Wharncliffe - love the look, similar to the Koenig Goblin in size, which I have, but both knives feature such thick blade stock and handle given their diminutive size that they defy any practical use case, at least in my world. Nevertheless I keep looking at photos of it. I'm particularly drawn to USA Made Blade's all titanium version.

I was intrigued with the Reate Jack 2.0 and really wanted one...as soon as it was available with a damascus blade.
I've come close to picking one up with the M390 blade on the exchange a few times with the hope that the damascus blade would come along soon to buy by itself.
Every time I go looking for updates on production there's not a lot to be found though and I'm thinking the "fascination" with this model has cooled to a point where it won't happen.

There are so many, but I'll keep it short:

Rockstead Higo/Higo 2 - Price is just too high for me.
CRK Umnumzaan - Can't ever find one when I am ready to buy.
Spartan Harsey - Always looked at it and wanted one. By the time I committed to buying, they dried up.
Hinderer - Not enough non-flipper runs for me to get in on when I am able to commit.

Pretty much is comes down to how much money I am willing to commit to this hobby, and if the knife is actually for sale at the time.

Two knives I can think of that I've been serious in considering is the Spyderco SpydeChief which I have almost bought several times and still might get one. The others an oldie... ZT 0561 3rd gen. Several times I almost bought one but it's a bigger knife than I would normally carry.

15006 Benchmade Steep Country fixed blade. After it first came out, I strongly considered purchasing it. I wanted to buy it for hunting/camping purposes, but I don't currently do either due to a variety of factors--majority of which have to do with time as I work full-time and in grad school full-time. So right now it would be a strictly aspirational purchase which is pointless. If someday I do get big into hunting, then I'll consider buying it then. It looks like an awesome knife.

any moki, but bird and trout would be the front runner for me, trouble is bamboo fly rods are sapping my money..
