Knives you've seriously considered buying, but never pulled the trigger on

For me there are several but at least one is the Cold Steel AD-15. Great low price introduction to a Demko design but for some reason I still can't pull the trigger.

Benchmade Contego, but the weight. Got to handle one for a good amount of time and really liked it but I already have plenty of large folders with good steel, it was just to heavy.

A Spyderco knife.......
I know they are quality knives.
Waiting for a model that I really like.
Much like the Benchmade Tax.........I find Spyderco puts a premium on their knifes also.
Even models made in China/ Tiawan.
Can't justify the price. Too many knives of equal quality at a better price.

I apologize if I missed it, but what knives do you own for comparison? I can’t count the fellas who thought the same, until they borrowed or bought one.

I’ve been toying with picking up a pakkawood Spyderco Police 4 ever since it first dropped. It seems like a traditional/modern hybrid which I love, but i just can’t convince myself to make it happen for some damn reason..

For about ten years I'd say, Kiku Matsuda's knives have been catching my eye. I've been tossing it around for years whether or not to take the plunge. Then I think about the custom Damasteel I want as well and that pretty much halts all other delusions of grandeur!! Finally decided to save for and get the custom, now comes all the other ?'s!!! Which pattern, grind, length etc along with who to get to do it????????????

Recently - Zero Hinderer 393 Glow
But basically no regrets in cutlery - way too many available ...

I got big regret with chinese made Mauser Broomhandle !!!
25 years ago they was freely available for $400
I should buy 10
Now it's new good car price difference :^O

GEC, Southern Grind, and TRM. Dunno, evertime there is something that I want more. Also hinderer mp1 and bark river gunny scandi. I'll probably get a bark river eventually though.

Edit: bought a barky and a GEC. The others pretty much have lost my interest

For me it'd be the Western 49 bowie knife. For me, for a very long time, that was THE quintessential bowie knife by which all others should be measured. It's been iconic in my mind for so very long. I've wanted one for at least twenty years, but have never been comfortable putting the money down on one.

A knife that I've been seriously considering for months, but have somehow managed to refrain from hitting the "Add To Cart" button is the Case/Bose Premium Stockman.

I looked at the left handed DPx HEST for years but never got around to getting one. The examples I handled at the blade show just didn't feel very good and it sorta seems like an outdated design now.

More recently I equivocated about the special edition burlap micarta Artisan Cutlery Mini-Proponent by SMKW and now it's sold out. SMKW rep said it was a one and done run with only a few hundred peices. Oops :(

Man, I would love to have a custom Pena knife, I wouldnt carry it because of the price, and i wouldnt leave it in a drawer, id had a couple of opportunities to get one, I just couldnt pull the trigger.

Bark River Knives - Seen several interesting models but I will never buy one because of their unethical business practices.

Emerson Knives - I have a few bought awhile ago but at the prices they're asking these days,it's just way overpriced.

Spyderco Knives - I like some of their fixed blade knives like the Province and others but what I don't like is how all of them have lazer cut holes in the blade.

One reason I’ve never bought a custom, too many choices and options
