Knives you've seriously considered buying, but never pulled the trigger on

Shiro f3 micarta as it looks almost impossible to sharpen on the wicked edge without either grinding the ricasso, or creating an uneven bevel. I'll most likely stick to hinderer, crk and possibly strider as my go to high-end knives.

Putting the question one step farther, brands i was not thinking to get into and that I like now are Hinderer and Emerson

A Mora Kansbol. It's just that I have a useful knife everywhere I need one, plus some, and a very limited budget with too many cats to feed. And there is still a lot of room for improvement of my skills with the blades (and sharpening tools) I already have.

  • A decent out the front with a blade about 3-1/2" or 4"
  • A decent out the front with a blade about 1" to 2" . . . you know to keep the big'n company. I just haven't found the one (or two) yet. I looked a lot but . . .
  • Spyderco / Phil Wilson Sprig. Dang I had my finger on the buy button a couple times.
  • CRK 21 in ebony . . . oh wait . . . I made that dream come true this year didn't I ? ! . The fact that they were going to all but disappear / skyrocket in price pushed me over the precipice (that and getting a very significant pay raise).
  • SAK Cybertool. I think I am finally over that one. Fingers crossed.

Some knives I've thought about off and on for years now and never bought:
  • Spartan Blades V-14 Dagger: I love daggers but have no use for them, and this one is priced kinda high for me to just stare at. I have a smaller double edge fixed blade and although I still don't really use it, at least it's small enough that I carry it at least sometimes. This knife is too big for me to even do that every once in a while.
Daggers are great for killing cinnamon rolls before you eat them.
Benchmade Adamas: This looks too big for any kind of regular carry. I just know I wouldn't like the weight on it. But it looks like a great design
For knives like that I just carry them when I am at home. See the cinnamon roll scenario above. And below ;)

Spyderco Advocate. I like everything about it except the handle finish. I’ve had it in hand several times, about to purchase, but that orange peel finish always stops me. I thought about buying it and sand blasting the handle then the world could be right again.

Spyderco Sprig.... really like the knife but never purchased when they were available. Because I don't need it.

Ditto on this fantastic knife, Spyderco Advocate 2.

I've had this wishlist for quite a while now. They're still there cause autos and large knifes take a back seat to smaller folders and fixed for me.

CRK Mnandi.
I quit smoking cigs about a year and a half ago and decided to reward myself with a Mnandi. Saved up enough money to buy three of them if I wanted, but I couldn’t pull the trigger. I’ve tried and tried but I can’t justify the price.

Bench made bug out, boost and Adamas I was in the budget for a new edc and chose against them based on second amendment fiasco with them donating to gun grabbers. Hope one day I can see something different to buy those knives. Seem great. The quality control issues I’ve read about on here have also kept me away. Went with a zt0350 instead and it’s a beast.

Well, it's one way to kill a couple hours, that's for sure.

Some of these (like the Miller Bros T1) are four-figure purchases. Some others are either small-batch runs, or just plain discontinued. Some of them are on the list because there are enough stories out there about questionable quality.

S Shadowedhand , I sorted the list into alphabetical order, because this has gotten to be some kind of strange hobby. I can post it, if you're interested......
