Ok, so now it's my turn on the wheel. The first thing I noticed, while sitting in my car outside the post office, was the lovely smell of oiled leather as I opened the box. I really like that smell. I usually wear my sheaths on my belt either on my right side (I'm a rightie), of set for cross-draw across the front. This sheath is adaptable for either.
I have been very busy with work and my side jobs, so today was the first day I took it outside for some air. I love it. I don't feel underknifed when I have this knife on me. It isn't a chopper, not is it small enough to do all the detail work I might have with my Enzo, but I bet if I used it longer, I could figure it out.
Before I show the pics I took, I want to say that I like the handle's thickness, I want about a half inch more length on mine if I get one.
I like a bit longer handles for use with mittens in the winter, and for using different grips.
I don't bang on passaround knives too badly, but knowing (and owning) Koyote knives and their toughness, I batonned into a piece of pressed wood. I drilled a hole in the corpse of the Xmas tree sitting outside, and you can see the remains of a brach that I whacked through in the pic. No edge degredation and brought it back to SHARP! with a bit of stropping.
Little shavings/curls on that very hard board!
In summary, this knife is an excllent tool I would be proud to own!
