Congratulations Ken!
When I saw that Horseman's knife a little while back I thought it was fantastic. Looks like I wasn't the only one!
 
Great news, and to be honest...I agree totally with what David has just stated...its not surprising news, Ken is just Fantastic....well done Ken, truely deserved, the horsemans knife is a beautiful pieec of work.

i stopped buy his table a mentioned i had seen the whole set with that knife..case.oiler,clock...and he mentioned he had heard he received an award for it
it looks even better in person
 
I have to admit, I've never been to Blade so I really have no idea of how this award is given, and on what basis.
But, whatever the voting system, and as others have stated, this knife is one of best examples I have ever seen (possibly the very best) of how a talented knifemaker can take inspiration from the past and renew it into a modern interpretation of it. This knife is astonishingly beautiful and it sure deserves to be recognized as such.
