I just ordered the skull clip from MXG gear. My first deep carry clip. I plan to media blast the black off and "flame anno" it.

I like them. The PM2 sits flush with the edge of your pocket instead of sticking out 1/2” or so. It’s personal preference, the stock PM2 clip isn’t bad for a non deep carry clip.

Received my second one today. As usual, perfectly centered, free dropping, even grinds and no blade play. Spyderco again comes through with another absolutely perfect knife. Very happy with it.

How is the retention? I have only hade one ti not sure brand but very weak. Put original back on

The only PM2 I’ve carried more than a few times is the digital camo / dlc and it seems normal. It was the first Spyderco I ever bought and that was only a month ago. All the MXG clips I’ve bought feel very secure barring some type of catastrophic failure.

I'm waiting on my first PM2 (already have a manix2 and para 3) and will move over one of my deep cary clips. They are absolutely perfect on the Para3 which has it's mounting holes closer to the center, but on the Manix, the mounting holes were way too close to the edge causing the deep carry to be too deep carry. The standard clip on the manix seemed to be good since the mounting holes were so close to the edge and it helped that the tip was very narrow and thins out.

It looks like on the PM2 the mounting is somewhere in between the location of the Para3 and the Manix2. Looks like it would a little more perfect if the lanyard hole wasn't there and the mounting was more centered along the width of the knife.

That's not the factory clip that comes on the manix. Those are the ones that come on the FRN Spydies. Your Manix clip should look like this:

Absolutely correct. When experimenting with clips i accidentally picked up old Delica clip. Same dimensions though as they lay right on top of each other perfectly, so I just left it.

I just got home and she's a beauty. whenever reaching for a Manix i'll have to decide between those and this now.

Just out of the box and it’s a beauty and from seeing everyone’s here it must be a great run . Perfect blade centering , even grind on both sides , nice action , blade free falls with just a little shake . Fit and finish is excellent and couldn’t be happier. Also has a nice detent and I don’t think I’ve missed mentioning anything lol except it’s a keeper like all my recent spydies.

Happiness is more important and as long as your happy that’s were it’s at

Picked up a couple Lynch DP clips one in black to match one of my jade m4 PM2’s and a satin for this new arrival . The dilemma I’m up against is I got use to carrying my Millie’s tip down even though I prefer tip up since thats how I’ve carried for years and my muscle memeory when deploying seems to favor that . Also the stock clip looks pretty sexy with that spydie on it lol . Ughhh decisions decisions lol .

One thing I hate about going with deep carry is the fact that the stock clips are so nicly finished and engraved.
