KW Exclusive Military CF/Ti S90V + CQI Improvements

I make my own dumbass laugh on this one as I woke up specially before 6 AM (IIRC) CA time the day which they were released to snag one just in case they were going to be sold out that day :D

But for a mere $50 more, I have had about 6 months of more pocket time enjoyment with this Millie which I really, really love :)

$50 off is a nice chunk of savings.

The 204P/Green G10 Military is also on sale for $169.95.

Thanks for the heads up! I nearly ordered one of these when looking at the fluted Ti Millie, it’s was a better value at $279 and now it’s only $9 more! It will make a great frame lock option for a Frankenmillie...Maxamet sprint FTW!:D

Yes - great deal at the sales price. I am finally buying one. If any dealer lowers the fluted ti military with CQI to $200, I will buy one too.

its on sale again today. guessing tomorrow too?

tempted to buy another, but must resist.

No idea how this one didn't sell out by now, Guess 7 years in between is just too many...........
That and the borage of other runs out there............

No idea how this one didn't sell out by now...

I have one Military (206P), and badly want another. Although I thought about getting this one several times, I talked myself out of it. Part of it is that I am not sure how I feel about R.I.L. on a Military.

I think folks are waiting for a different Military sprint or exclusive. Maxamet; something with DLC; some other surprise? I guess I am too waiting for something new, and am willing to pass on this one.

I'm still waiting for a tip up Military update.
Nobel of you. Many of us have been waiting / asking for ten years. LOL LOL
Requested that the M4 Ti Millie be tip up. But clip design is the issue.

The orig M4 Millie took almost 2 years to get made and sold out in pre-order.
(was a real pain for Spyderco back then) Not a money maker for Spyderco at all..
It was the 1st Spyderco I spec'd for KW. 2006? 2007? That and the M390 805 & 806 / same year.

Asked for this one every year after the M4, but was a looong break in between.
Runs are getting produced faster now. A few yrs ago it could take 2-3 years for a run to get produced after its approval. So that should help going forward.

The green 204 millie, M4 CF Para 2, and this S90v Ti millie were all turned in and approved at the same time. Shot show 2015.......Took 4 years to get the M4 Para approved and 6-7 years on this Ti millie.. It can be a long process. With lots of variables.

Spyderco has tip-up on the linerless Natives so they could do it with the Millie too...Eric talks about the Lil' Native lockback in one of the SHOT vids.

This one has not sold out because, as some of you already noted,
- Military is too big for many people,
- Tip down only,
- s90v steel is not preferred by as many people as m390,
- $280 is a high price, even $230 is not cheap

That being said, the framelock on Military has no problem whatsoever. I have/had plain ti milllie, fluted ti millie, and this s90v ti/cf millie. All with solid lockup and dead centered.

I think that the price combined with the fact that there were a few different Military sprints released at the same time are what really slowed this one down. You had the S90V, 204p, M4 all come out at once and the S110V model too

:thumbsup::thumbsup:Agree, would have sold out fast when it was 1st submitted back in 2010.:)

The R.I.L on the Military gives it a solid more substantial feeling. I always had a problem with how IMO the Military felt cheap because it was so light. The R.I.L. also makes it feel as though it is a stronger knife.
I had the same problem with the Lionsteel Kur, It felt so light that it felt cheap. I have the Millie in R.I.L. and I love and I never use the S30V knife.
The R.I.L makes it feel like a large Domino. If you like the Domino you will like the Millie.

Sure you're thinking of the right knife? The KUR is a tank. It weighs about 6 oz. It's one of the sturdiest folders I've come across.

I know what you mean. The weight and solid feel of the Titanium makes it feel more substantial. I prefer a knife with a little heft.

But I do really like my 204P Military with green G10. It's a little light but it's such a sweet knife.

That being said , the S90V/Ti/CF Military really is a gorgeous beast.

It was a long time ago and my memory may not be serving me well but as far as I can remember it felt light to me and I got the Steel Will Apostate instead but now that I look at it I might give it another try.
