Kw manix 2 c.f./ cruwear

The cf scales take wear beautifully and are very durable. I'm a plumber by trade and I'm in dirty locations and use the knife on the regular, and it looks fantastic.

The other thing I wanted to say was...

CAN WE GET A PM2 VERSION?

Doesn't need to be cruwear steel in particular, I'm more in love with the scales and overall fit and finish. I want to get another pm2 but I'm not a fan of g10. Cts-xhp, s90v, or M390 or maybe maxamet?

If not a cf pm2, I'd be down for a fluted Ti integral I saw in another thread...

On second thought, let's do the Ti first. Haha

Don't be worried about the scales on these, if I haven't scratched them to $#!t you'll be fine.
I'm an apprentice in the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157. I mainly do HVAC and mechanical with some plumbing. This trade can be tough on knives as I'm sure you know, that's one of the main reasons I hate to carry it to work.

Local 254, yeah I have an olfa knife in my bag for certain jobs. But I find out of 100 days I maybe use it 2-3 times. It's nice to have if someone asks me for a loaner knife.

I also don't mind some character marks on my knives. Pretty impressed how they hold up at the same time.

So I have a question for you fellas, anyone have anything to say about CruWear yet? I've yet to really push it too hard, not for a lack of trying there just hasn't been much for me to cut these days, haha.

Corrosion resistance has been a blessing for me thus far, super hot and humid since I've gotten it, rained like 25% of the time, and still not a speck of orange on the blade. That has made me very, very happy.

So if anyone happened to put CruWear through the ringer I'd be happy to hear your thoughts!

Just checking back on the threads about this knife. If it hasn't been mentioned yet, Knife Center now lists the knife as discontinued. Those of us who picked one up are lucky to have one of these beauties.

I went back and forth on this one, but I waited too long and now I missed out. I've heard good things and it seems like a killer combo.

This CF/Cruwear Manix was a home run, I'm very glad I decided to pick one up. I think everyone pretty much got a perfect example of this one!

You can keep an eye out for one on the selling forum. That may be worth a shot. You may get lucky and find someone who needs to sell theirs.

Since you like the Military's size There is the equivalent in the Manix series Its the Manix XL You can get it in carbon fiber. I have bot the small and big. Both carbon fiber's That I have are S90V. If you like a more robust knife with presence when you take it out get the XL. You wont be sorry.

I wish I picked up a spare one of these. This has become my EDC now, and is getting beat up. I now know why people get spare ones, I think I would shed a few extra tears if I ever lose this.

I really like mine, too. It's holding up well and the steel is still flawless. I was worried in the beginning because it isn't stainless, but no problems here. One of my favorites, for sure.

I sharpened up my user CF/Cruwear Manix 2 and it was pretty quick compared to CPM M4. I thinned the angle out to 9 degrees per side and brought that up to 320 grit Shapton. I raised the angle to about 11.5 degrees and did a microbevel with a 500 grit Glasstone. Last was a few very light passes at 12.5 degrees with the 16000 grit Glasstone. It shaves above the skin and pushcuts newsprint cross grain. It took a good amount less time than my CPM M4 Military when lowering the angles the same amount (factory angle on both was 12-13, typical excellent factory angles from Spyderco). The steel had no issues with burring, as it was a snap to remove any burr I formed with one or two very light high angle passes. I always like steels that take an edge without having to fight the burr to get them sharp.

So far I'm a fan of Cruwear. No corrosion issues, and very easy to sharpen to a crisp edge. I will get a feel for how my edge does on some EDC cutting, and I'll probably do some cutting side by side against CPM M4, S30V and others to get look at how it performs compared to what I have been using a long time. I will likely get it reground much thinner in the near future as well.

Nice! I couldn't find it in stock anywhere last week. I got to get better at finding sprints

KC is all sold out of these exclusives/sprints. Not sure if they will release another batch or not, best to pick one up while the price is still fairly close to original price.

I'd honestly be surprise if they don't do another run. I'm sure Knife Center made out like bandits with that particular exclusive.

I couldn't be happier with mine and I'm pretty sure that's how everyone who picked one up feels. Definitely made me reconsider Golden's fit and finish quality(always said Taichung was better).

It pretty much turned me into a Manix fanboy too, haha. Hope you get the chance to get your hands on one.

Yea I'm really glad I got one too. Looks like the new composite blade one is peel ply c.f. which is still solid carbon fiber I just like the raw c.f. that was on this knife. I only got one, but I've still barely touched it. Its very smooth out of box. So are the other manixs with steel liners just saying. I think all things considered cruwear is thee perfect steel for the manix platform, as in my mind you need a bit of toughness; I see the manix as a real worker. the angle of the blades stance looks like its just begging to be blown through stuff. The satin clip looks awesome against the c.f. on this knife too imo. Came together great. Dunno if they'll do a duplicate run but I'd for sure buy...... Hell maybe even 2 more. One of my favorite exclusives this year. I'd say I like it just as well as the c.f/ti s90 k.w. Millie. I do love that knife but not like I thought I would, but I digress. Anyway do another run of this manix k.c.!!!!

I don't suppose anyone has any info on if another run of these will be done?
