Man there's some serious knife porn in this thread. That Doc Hagen in ironwood needs to be shadow boxed and placed on a mantel...preferably mine!

I should be hearing about mine from Rick Menefee any day now. I went with antique ivory micarta with a black micarta bullock shield. Pics will be posted as soon as I unwrap it!

Hey Brett, I think Craig is a tremendous talent, right at the top along with you, Bose, Pena, Ploppert and a select few others!

This thread has to do alot about this, but I'm in a wait list for a custom LC, and I had to actually get one in my hands, cause to appreciate the homage, one should have the original...or at least the Case/Bose collab.
And also a thanks to Tim on our brief discussions on the LC.
So I searched out the Case master dealers and called to make sure it was actually in stock...The Case/Bose LC arrived yesterday and it is an amazing beast of a knife. It does feel like it was carved out of a single piece of heavy thick 154 cm. Solid walk and talk. Centered and smooth spine at full open and half/stop. Not perfect , but I can only wonder on some of the customs on this great thread...

Got it in chestnut bone to match up to the SBJ that I have...

Folks with the Case/Bose version:
What's your opinion of it? Is it on par with the customs? Can someone take a picture of it next to a common GEC knife (77, 15, or 72, or Fremont jack would be awesome) so I can more accurately gauge size compared to something I have? Thanks folks!

Although you have a Case/Bose Sean, thought it would be good to post up a comparison shot with a SBJ, #77, #15
Really finding that I like the feel of the larger knives and LC feels so balanced in hand.

I was worried about the size, but after having it in my hand I have no more concerns. I've found the 15 is a bit too small for me, the 77 is about perfect for 99% of my days, and the Lanny's is a little big, but not enough to keep me from grabbing it. I just only pick it when I have the pocket space which is most of the time. Today, for instance.

Does anyone make a cheaper (under $150) LC? Seems this pattern is limited to customs and the case/Bose collaborations.
