Lanny's Clip Thread

Bolstered top and bottom...this will look excellent Sean.

I hope to get a Dunlop started as soon as he can find some true vintage Westinghouse...

Just picked this up from Mr. Dunlap last weekend. Vintage Westinghouse Ivory Micarta.

Congrats on the dr. T knife, Sean. Really impressive! The carbon fiber handle, shield, blade shape and swedging all come together for me. An aesthetic

Could not have said it better, Sean! Looking forward to seeing more of it!!

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm really excited, as you can probably tell. Sadly I'm going to have to wait until after the holiday to get it in hand. We're leaving town before it would be delivered, so the good doctor is going to fine tune it a little more and ship it out on Monday. I'd hate for it to sit cold and lonely on the porch for a few days.

Good looking Dr. T Sean.
I like that Westhinghouse ivory micarta on the Dunlap too .

Got this one not too long ago.

And what are your impressions of your Dr T compared to the Case/Bose? What overall length is your Dr T?

I really shouldn't have just looked through this whole thread. I see trouble in my future

It finally happened!

Man, that's a tough one. The case knives are VERY good. I wanted a very specific knife, and going custom was my only option. Fit and finish on the dr.t is better than the case, everything is smoother, but that's not to say the case wasn't smooth. The dr.t is flush in all positions, my case was proud at the half stop. If I was happy with a bare end with a nick and case's jigged bone, I'd have a real hard time justifying the price for a custom. But for what goes into it, dr.t is extremely reasonable on his prices. I don't regret a thing.

My dr. t is 3 & 7/8ths.

And thanks for the compliments everyone! I'm a happy camper. Merry Christmas to me!

Wow. gorgeous knife Sean! All the knives posted in this tread are great (I am not biased - but I mostly like clip and Lanny's clip blades in my few traditionals).
