Well we know Sal wants a ~5" blade, and a sprint run (so no FRN). I read through the thread and tried to include all of the basic variations mentioned and that I could think of. This should help tallying the general sentiment so that Sal can get the project rolling:

Handle materials:

1. Aluminum
2. Carbon Fiber
3. G10
4. Micarta

Blade pattern:

1. Spear-point (Native)
2. Clip-point
3. Leaf (Military/Temperance)
4. Reverse-S (Cricket/Dodo)
5. Wharncliffe

Blade grind:

1. Flat
2. Hollow
3. Saber

Blade length:

1. 4.5" to 5"
2. 5" to 5.5"
3. 5.5" to 6"

Lock type:

1. Front-lock
2. Compression lock
3. Ball-lock

Other suggestion:

If you want to add a vote for supersizing an established model (like the Native), or suggesting a custom collaboration (like the Mini-RAD), add it at the end of your post.

Kindly vote for one option in each category, by name (not number). Try not to get too hung up on things like # of liners or clip position since things like that are worked out in the design process by R&D.

Handle materials:

4. Micarta

Blade pattern:

1. Spear-point (Native)

Blade grind:

1. Flat

Blade length:

2. 5" to 5.5"

Lock type:

3. Ball-lock

Hope something comes of this.

Handle materials: (3.) G10

Blade pattern: (2.) Clip-point or (3.) Leaf

Blade grind: (1.) Flat

Blade length: (3.) 5.5" to 6"

Thanks for asking Sal. Thanks for compiling the info Carlos.

Handle materials: G10

Blade pattern: Spear-point (Native)

Blade grind: Flat

Blade length: 4.5" to 5"

Lock type: Front-lock

Other suggestion: Super size the Native and keep it FULL AMBI!!!

Handle materials: G10

Blade pattern: Spear-point (Native)

Blade length: 4.5" to 5"

Lock type: Front-lock

I will go with that!
OH,STANDARD CLIP!
I would really like to see a super size Native in Black g10 but with a 4 in blade.Over 4 in would make it illegal all most everywhere.

Handle-G10

Blade pattern-Spear Point

Blade Grind-Flat,high Saber

Blade Legth-5in

Lock Type-Compression, or ball if has MBC rated Strength

Doesnt Bram have designs for larger Knives? I like his stuff.

Handle materials: G10

Blade pattern: Spear-point (Native)

Blade grind: saber

Blade length: 5" to 5.5"

Lock type: Front-lock

(sounds like a super-sized Native :D )

Tip-up/tip-down option should be provided to get maximum uptake by ELUs

Micarta/G-10
Spear point(Native)
4"-5"
VG-10/S30V
lock-like Native
Wire clip OK
Supersize the Native and keep it full ambi and not as tight as my Native III.

Handle = don't care, though I might lean towards carbon fibre
Blade = clip point
Grind = flat
Size = 4.5"=5"
Lock type = compression lock

I strongly favor purpose-designing a large fighter from scratch over just super-sizing a current model.

Handle materials: 3. G10

Blade pattern: 5. Wharncliffe

Blade grind: 1. Flat

Blade length: 1. 4.5" to 5"

Lock type: 2. Compression lock

Other suggestions: MBC rated lock, Production Version of Mike Snody's Reactor

Handle: G-10 (SS liners?)

Blade length: 4.5 - 5"

Blade type: spear point (native type)

Blade steel: S30V

Blade grind: flat or sabre

Lock type: lock back (like the current Native)... I'm not even sure what "front lock" means.

So yeah, basically a super sized Native.

Here are my preferences.

Handle materials: 3. G10

Blade pattern: 3. Leaf (Military/Temperance)

Blade grind: 1. Flat

Blade length: 1. 4.5" to 5"

Lock type: 2. Compression lock, although I would like to see a liner lock, like the Military....

My Votes, preferences bolded:

Hilt: G10, Aluminum, but both need texturing and sculpting
Blade Shape: Leaf, Spear
Grind: Saber for strength
Blade Length: 5.5"-6", 4.5"-5.5", the latter may be better for legal reasons
Lock Type: Compression as I don't have a ball lock to know it's advantages

Suggestion on steel: S30V, VG-10

This was not asked, but, most definitely, make it TIP DOWN carry!! The larger the blade, the more important this becomes.

Observation: This will be an expensive brute to make, I'll bet.

Edited to add note about tip down carry.

A front lock is a "lock back" as used by Spyderco, with the release midway in the handle. A "lock back" properly speaking has its release near the butt of the handle.
