voted #2, but #1 is a close second, I should not have backed a third party candidate...wonder how my newly registered friends thincorgi, middle-sizecorgi and unhealthyBMIcorgi will vote? :D ...but really, they are all cool shields ;)
 
I voted for #3 because it seemed to pull the knife together, especially without bolsters. But #1 also looked pretty good.
 
I thought number one looked the "classiest", so voted for it. Presuming I will be able to get one, I'll be happy with any of the shields though.
 
I couldn't decide between #2 and #3, so I had my 4-year old vote. One more tally mark for the Bowtie.
 
I voted for #2, shame it is pretty far behind, I think it is the nicest shield out of the bunch. However I would be pleased with either number 1 or 3. I see this is the last poll, was the Mexican Bocate confirmed for the wood choice? I don't recall there being a confirmation for cover material.
 
Yes, it's been Bocote from the start for CSC, bone for GEC, other wood choices were just wishes and speculation. Was also verified in the last poll.
 
Some people have been asking about the positioning of the shields, bear in mind these are just photoshop mock-ups and Eric will likely decide on the actual placement depending on feasibility etc.

I actually like the knife without a shield, but I'm excited for whatever the final result is!
 
I had voted earlier, but remained silent, for the Long Bomb. I personally think that the
BowTie shield is more attractive when used in the center of a more symmetrical knife,
such as a congress pattern or equal end cigar, etc. That's my story and I am sticking
to it. :)
 
The Short Bomb is really unique. I have seen many like the one Al (MadMerryMonk) posted but can't seem to remember this one. Here are the only ones I have seen that are even close.

Empire Knife Co. but the tail of the bomb looks kind of like a long bomb.


Case Little Valley but the front of the bomb is small and make it look like a federal shield but the tail looks the same as the #1 short bomb.
 
Short bomb reminds me too much of a police shield or something.

I agree 100% Dave! :)

The bowtie is too big for this knife IMHO. Go short bomb! :cool:
