I also find it interesting that folks who congratulate themselves for being so savvy that they're not fooled like everyone else, fail to exercise even the slightest skepticism toward the half-baked conspiracy theories.

There's a guy I occasionally play poker with that's a 'true believer.' --- Just when I thought I heard it all, he's got something else that takes the cake.

The other evening he was bemoaning that we're 'torturing' all these people and not even for information.... We're not even asking them any questions because everyone knows 'terrorists' don't even exist ... the whole 9-11/terrorism thing was just made up by W to justify all this war stuff so oil prices would rise and W's brother, David, will get rich with his oil holdings. They're just grabbing Moslems at random and 'torturing' them for ????

American Pharma is working with the UN to kill people (population control) with its drugs and therapies (rather than natural, holistic cures).

"War never solved anything in the history of the world." WWII was devised to justify American's desire to 'murder of millions of Japanese.'

Last year's hurricanes were actually the testing of U.S. 'weather weapons' that everyone knows have existed since the 1950s.

FEMA flooded New Orleans, intentionally flooding the poorer neighborhoods to spare the richer ones.

I haven't Google-fu-ed it either, though I'm sure there's a good conspiracy to go with it.

If I remember correctly, fighting was pretty ubiquitous in the area for some time. No one noticed or cared until the whole world looked to Afghanistan that evening thinking maybe an intercontinental ballistic care package was on the way.

Were the CIA involved? I think so. Do you think the CIA was completely unprepared in Afganistan after the numerous attempts Al Queda had already launched for 10 years?? Unfortunately, like a lot of data I hear and drop, I don't recall the specifics anymore, but have heard this addressed. ( and no, I do not by any means mean we were 'prepared'; but we had some assets.)

Also, the bird flu was created in the labs of the University of Wisconsin and is 10,000 times more virulent than the outbreak in the early 1900s. --- again, US/UN population control collaboration.

It's strange because he also has said that the bird flu was over-hyped in the media thanks to Big Pharma's desire to rake in big money on flu vaccines. So I'm not sure how those two positions cohabit the same cranium without a little tension, though I suspect there's a good deal of tension in there anyway.

That's it. Actually I think this guy might be a tad bi-polar. But it may be all those weird herbal supplements he takes.

Oh, here are a couple other tid-bits that come to mind:

The 'cure' for heart attacks has been known since the '60s, but the drug companies have suppressed it so they could sell cholesterol-lowering medications (which, incidentally kill you -- refer back to U.S. UN population control scheme).

The American Cancer Society, et al are part of the 'Big Pharma machine', suppressing the fact that cancer can be cured with with some kind of tree bark, I think it was --- and everyone knows it.

There's a grain of truth in this one, the bark of a small, twisted yew from the American nortwest (Taxus sp.) has a wonderful cancer drug in the bark. It was considered a trash tree by logging interests, and most of them were already bulldozed. Now, do we use the few remaining to cure a few folks now, or do we grow them to maturity so we have lots for later???
 
I can see the ruthlessness that small local politicians & buisnessess have with each other have & accept many of the worlds most powerfull people will be even morer pracited & ruthless at it.

But the concept that us mere peasents will know the truth for good or bad of how world changing descions are made & the reasons why in running countrys & indeed the the world I find slightly surreal..

None of us are in a postion to know the truth, it like bieng a christian, hindu or muslim.

You didnt do it single handedly & you only stepped in afer Japan blew pearl harbour to bits, before that you were happy just to pay lend, lease to the.Uk. {I underatand we finnished paying the finacial debt {with acumaleted intrest of course.} for that off in about 1990. You are a Brit, aren't you, Spiral? Of course I dont' think Europe did nothing. I'll always admire the Brits for finally stepping in and paying the ultimate price. I wish like hell we'd stepped in earlier. But Britain lied to itself with its Prime Minister and bury head in sand. It was only when it became life or death and its own butt was on the line it finally saw the Light and acted.
There is nothing new under the Sun. That is exactly when the US acted; when its own bacon was on the fire. ( though we'd lost lots of merchant marine lives, and other lives, in our 'unofficial conflict' before out official stance.

Today there are only a handful of nations which dare. Britain, despite public opinion and socialist nonsense, Australia, even Canada. And who can forget Italy and Poland?

By this logic, Afganistan or Iraq are the most moral nations on Earth, or maybe Somalia.

OH, and BTW; the US lost more than 295,000 lives, even times 2. Where did you get this stuff?

Might as well use Russia, Japan and Germany as Moral arbitures then, since they lost so much.

Please note that on a bad day in both World Wars we could (and did) lose thousands, and nobody sniveled and wanted to run home. Everyone now castigates Bush for making mistakes in running a war now several years old with comparitively low casualty figures. The difference is in allowing liberal media types to be imbedded where they can show the world fresh pools of blood and terrorist beheadings in real time. Look at American casualty figures for both World Wars, Korea, and Viet Nam and compare them with American casualties today....it's a no brainer.
 
It is unfathomable to me how anyone could argue morality of a nation with civilian casualty figures....Britain delayed stopping tyranny in its own backyard. It waited until it was very nearly too late, and almost all possible allies overun and destroyed. I think Japan must be very moral and self sacrafising because of the civilian deaths in Tokyo, Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

By this logic, the 2,500 plus dead in the Twin Towers aren't enough to compell action; we should wait until it's 250,000, then act?????

When the Allies landed in France, we weren't sure how many French would shoot at us along with the Germans. And many did shoot.


It is precisely because the US learned from History that we act now.
