Local post office postmasters opinion.

Or you could resort to reading ^ ;)

Opinions are not proof.
Just like you have not proven Leatherman Tool group are the thieves you claim they are.
But you have proven that you know very little about proper packaging and postal procedure.

Your opinion.......... but guess what. F your opinion. :D

You realize Leatherman is likely a multi million dollar company? What would they have to gain by keeping a broken tool? Think about this logically. Thousands of people send in tools, including myself, and get either brand new ones or the broken one repaired. The one I sent in was an original super tool I found from a TSA auction, and I got a brand new Super Tool 300 back. IMO, Leatherman is the best multi tool you can get, but then again, I'm just a machinist who uses one every day.

If there is nothing to gain, then there is nothing to lose by sending me a replacement for the missing PST. Based on your logic.

However, there is much to lose with a dissatisfied customer. For every 10 Leatherman nut suckers, there will be at least 1 that that spits the nut out. :)

At least those blaming me will have to spit out the nut long enough to blame me before popping it back in again. lol

But they refused it because the tool wasn't in the package due to poor shipping practices by you.

I don't think LTG has much to worry about. Likely you aren't the first illogical customer to have a tantrum like this.

It does not seem possible to "Refuse" a package, and then, also "Accept" it, remove contents and return to the USPS? If you Refuse a package, they don't let you then keep it. It's immediately returned to the USPS.

You were the one who posted this nonsense in a public forum. Now you're mad that nobody is agreeing with your twisted logic and accusing people of insulting you...

You'll probably also consider it an insult when I say that I have NO idea what this is even supposed to mean:

Your frustration is completely misdirected. I understand it sucks, but you're coming off as irrational and immature. USPS workers steal all the time, but if you use a box and load it up with tape, you can reduce the chance of that happening. They're looking for easy targets, and your poorly secured packaging is exactly what they look for. If you must have a beef with someone, it should be USPS before Leatherman, but realistically, you should be more upset with yourself.

Because there is no chance that the postmaster really doesn't want to add to his workload, and is happy to let you believe what you want to believe, happy in the fact that your anger is not directed at USPS.

Look, you're not the first guy to have a package get lost. Hang around the forums long enough and there will be a sob story about some pretty valuable stuff going missing. Generally there are some sympathetic ears, and then its chin up, wipe your eyes, and get back to work.
You are also not the first guy to join and blaze in on the warpath. It happens, and doesn't matter which sub it happens in, that guy tends to get pretty well roasted. Why? because when a company shows some loyalty to its customers, those customers send some loyalty back. There are few nut-suckers here, and the ones that are are consenting adults. You will find little blind fandom in the multi-tools sub. But you came in on fire, and so fire is what you get back.

You keep rejecting the solutions given. So while you might be a nice guy who can add to the discussion and share experiences. You've blown that chance.
Good day to you sir.

I'm wondering if maybe this isn't just a stunt by op to cause a ruckus and get leatherman to send a free tool to hush him up. It just seems odd that he gets mad at leatherman but joins a knife forum to bash them instead of a multi tool forum.

If you refuse a package you aren't allowed to take it at all so that means it WAS list before it got to them meaning someone stole it on the truck or in the shipping warehouse. Also unless you expedited it it'll sit in warehouse for day or two possibly end up farther east before going west siit in one or two more warehouses got to leatherman gets refused gets sent back sits in more warehouses for a day or so at a time

Everyone here despises the Chinese clone knife sellers. Guess what they ship their knives in?
Envelopes.
Sometimes padded.
'Weird how everyone knows not to steal THOSE knives and how they manage to get here from China without being destroyed by postal services along the way, isn't it?

Or....It wasn't stolen at all, but lost along the way because it was sent unprotected in a flimsy cardboard envelope.

Grrrrrrr. Im worried about a similar problem with my Benchmade 940 coming back from the shop.

I'm not gonna say anything like that I'm just saying it was gone before arriving at leatherman and if it wasn't insured then there ain't even proof it was shipped in it and this is just a fake hate thing to get free tools

robgmn, about 1 in 8 shipments to me from china arrive as an open envelope. The ones that don't either come in very well secured envelopes, or multi-layered ones.

Other than that, what was your point?
