Les George "Eagle" Wilson Combat collaboration - Thoughts?

Wilson says they plan on having them for a long time but I bet just like the other Starburst knives by CR they will come in small batches every great once in awhile. Just my observation from collecting all the Starburst knives! So glad they did one with Les! Couldnt have picked a better maker! His products are amazing! Looks like stupid UPS wont get mine here till monday! Dammit!! Hey Wilson Rep- In one of the pics you can see a black lanyard. Do these come with lanyards??

You are right. We plan on keeping these in the lineup forever as long as Les will make them for us. They do not come with a lanyard.

Looks great. Les does great work. So I'm sure it is great. Though, visually, I could do without EAGLE in bold across the blade. Over the years of using and collecting knives, I find that I like subtle markings on the blades. Maybe just a small WilsonCombat logo along with George somewhere would suffice. I don't know, it just gives it a generic look much like that of SOG. Just my 2 cents and maybe I'm in the minority on this, but frankly, it kind of turned me off.

Since it is limited production, something to think about for future batches as if it bothered me it might bother others as well. But just my personal opinion. I'd still like to have one.

Nice looking etc. But I am stuck on my Pohan Leu Bluephin. Who makes these for Wilson? Is it CRK? Kind of pricey but as the saying goes you probably get what you pay for. keepem sharp

Thanks for the feedback. Many of our customers are looking for something to accompany their Wilson Combat pistol, so the logo is a desireable attribute. But since these are short-run, limited production pieces we can consider making some cosmetic and material changes in future runs.

Not that I plan on doing this but does anyone know if that type of etching can be removed in any way? I kind of agree, the logo is a tad bit large. I would have liked it if Les had put a small mark perhaps on the other side like Sal does on his Spydie designs. Kudos to Wilson for getting together with a great like Les!! :)

Les George makes these for us.

I was wondering about this as it isn't stated directly in your ad. I assume this is similar to his VECP line, with certain parts CNC machined and other work done by hand - correct? Looks great, BTW and I'm a CRK guy at heart. Well done.

Correct.

Gentlemen - Just received mine in the mail and I'm absolutely blown away at the quality of this knife, Wilson Combat and Les have taken it to another level. This is hands down the best edc I could imagine and my xm-18 has been replaced without question. Going to do a full review tomorrow but had to share the first impressions - WOW!

Wow! Really looking forward to your review! We have been in and around the knife industry a long time and have sold thousands of high end knives and we were thrilled with the design and execution.

Wow looks great. Although I would like to see other blade shapes like a wharncliffe blade as I am not a big fan of recurves, but that's just me :D
