Let’s see those forum knives

Ohh I hope when my two arrive I have a knobby dark elk scaled knife like yours (the upper knife). I have my printed label confirmation but no movement on the shipment. I saw on the traditional forum thread someone darkened the scales and polished the high spots. His knife looks amazing.

Don W that's the best looking figured Elk on a small knife I've seen yet! I hope mine will be similar..Especially the one on the left. Im also looking forward to trying the steel as my club 301 in BG42 works great..
 
Mine Arrived!!! :D
No noticeable problems with the naked eye.
Blades are centered, and sharper than my ex's tongue.
Pulls are just a little stiffer than that of my standard 301; about the same as my 371's.

A little mineral oil on the joints, and into the pocket. :)
(I always lube the joints on any slipjoint I get, as soon as it comes out of the box.)

A very happy camper here. :D

Got mine today, pretty pleased overall:). Aside from a pretty decent gap under the end of one of the covers (by thumb in first pic) I have no other f&f issues but the covers are REALLY slim. I did get some pretty thick blades too (Main-.035"bte, sheeps-.025"bte).

I'm kinda torn at this point though...do I take it to the grinder (losing the cool Bos etch) andmake it a user, or maybe try to trade for aninteresting Whittler?

That is a pretty big gap.

Try it first before the grinder, or trade it if your not happy.
