Let's not split hairs here, let's split backs! - Post your whittlers

Wow I really do love this thread. Hopefully we can keep it going. Besides my Seahorses above here are some others. I don't have much of a collection, but like I said they are by far my favorite type of traditional.

This is a RR lockback Canoe Whittler. It's a little too small for my hand though, but great quality.

Wood Sclaes Boker Carver and a Boker Whittler with burl scales I believe.

I'm having a real tough time deciding between the Case Seahorse and the S&M 54 Coles Whittler. The only issue I have with the S&M is there isn't a coping blade.

Oh man, that Boker whittler looks spectacular. Love the scales and shield, how are they held on?

I imagine they are glued on. I bought one of the same model used, and I think, but am not sure, that a previous owner lost the shield and did a very good job of filling the space with epoxy. If I look carefully, I can see a shiny spot.

I found this gem on the big auction site recently and I really like it! Apparently the first user used some Cold Blue to etch the blades.

I have been sorely, sorely tempted to pull the trigger on one of the crosscut Mammoth ones Derrick has for sale on KSF. The only thing that's been holding me back is the idea of having that wharnie as my primary blade. I've never had a slipjoint that didn't have a clip point or other pointy blade with some belly. I think I'm just gonna go for it. Life is boring if you never try new things.

Just bought my first Seahorse a couple of weeks ago and love it. 2003 NOS I found it at a little country store that sales knives and has a good selection down on the French Broad river that I never new existed.
