Lets see some Hinderer action

After careful consideration, I've come to the conclusion that this is my favorite knife.
Of all the countless folders I've owned.

I've been drooling over mine ever since I got it. Love the battle black. So smooth and it flips like a rocket.

Exactly. I'd love a spare.

Is it noticeably heavier with the ti scale? I've considered a bronze scale.

I've actually been putting off finding a Ti scale now since I would have to remove the copper liner! I love the contrasting colors between the G10, copper and titanium.

Same here, I've got custom ano on the lock & liner of one of mine, but I really like a couple of the custom Ti scales I've seen around. Still on the fence about actually pulling the trigger on it though.

Depending on the monitor I'm using or the site I'm browsing, the Battle Black seems to vary in shades from light charcoal to darker more black.

Is it darker in person like a Spyderco PM2 black blade? Or more like the ZT blackwash? etc...

I've really been thinking of black for my next one - the one I wanted is actually very similar to yours has a digicam scale - but I've been hesitant because of all the variations I keep seeing.

Mine is closer to a ZT blackwash.
That finish makes it open and close like it's got glass washers.
So smooth...

Cool, thanks. I thought it was more like a blackwash, but you never know from the pics some look extremely dark with the lighting. I think that would look better on these than a dark black like the PM2.

And the smoothness opening & closing is always a bonus. Some of my flippers really kill my finger.

I've always been a fan of black blades, just wanted to get a fix on what I'll be getting. I don't have any good retail knife dealers around here so I have to get it online for the most part.

Anyone have the all-black? (I think it was a DLT exclusive) Battle black blade, lockside, etc...?
Ya that's what they are, here's a couple pics. They sold out very fast. Finish is very smooth and a bit shiny (in the right light), dark charcoal in color. Very pretty.

Very pretty indeed thanks for the great pics. That's on my wish list right now. I saw they have a few of the black DLC ones left on DLT which also look very nice.

The plain black DLC and working finish open a little less smoothly right out of the box, but the strong-ish detent definitely helps.
1-battle black
2-DLC
3-working finish

Ah, good to know. I don't mind that too much they usually break in after OCD flipping lol and I can always take it down clean it & lube it up. I've been pretty lucky thusfar with that stuff, little bit of minor tuning has gotten them just right.

kniggt - I think somebody asked this above, but does the Ti scale add noticeable weight to the knife?
They look great. Midnight Sun makes some really awesome scales I've been eyeing a few.

I just did a test with my g10 skinner and the battle black with the scale. It does add a touch of weight. I don't have a digital scale to see what the difference is but I can barely tell.

That's good, thanks for that. I didn't think it would be a huge deal weight-wise but it's nice to hear a confirmation.

My main thing was I didn't want it weighing down my pockets making it more noticeable that I'm carrying something.
