Just a quick summary for anyone not wanting to watch all 11 minutes (though I'd highly recommend, great video!), the battle black is DLC coated on plain titanium (giving a pretty uniform black coating) THEN tumbled. The stonewashed DLC is stonewashed prior to the DLC coat, so you get a nice shiny DLC that still has that stonewash character, compared with the battle black DLC being more matte.

There's also the anthracite finish just to complicate things even more :) I'm honestly not even sure what it is, and have not seen it in ages.

Beautiful group shot, I especially like the SW Bronze project X….I gotta pick one up someday!
I might be in the minority, but i like the looks of the X quite a bit more than the Fulltrack. (Mostly the less-busy “cleaner” look of the scales)

Way I understand it is,
Black “regular” DLC = Flat black (like the 0804cf)
Battle black = more of a “blackwash” finish (like the 0801BW)
And
Stonewashed DLC is like black DLC, but with some reflection in there, and I believe I heard they don’t make it anymore… could be wrong tho.

I've seen it on the occasional model even very recently, I think they still do the SW DLC from time to time. It is a serious fingerprint magnet for anyone deciding which to get :-)

I wish they did more battle black! They just did a batch of Eklipse Bowies in the battle black, and they look AWESOME…
If I didn’t already have like half a dozen Eklipses I would be on the hunt for one now lol

Unless anyone wants to trade for a NIB stonewashed Eklipse Bowie …? I’d be down

Sounds like the Full Track is making a come back!
“The full track is available in stainless steel blade options of CPM S35VN, CPM 20CV and M390. Another blade steel option will be released later this year.”
Hmmm… I’m guessing either Magnacut or S45VN

ETA: they also list it as a spearpoint, but it looks like a spanto to me…? Idk if this is 100% factual, but I would think/hope so!

Wow great find!!! Man I really didn’t need another hinderer model to hunt but I guess if a full track comes out in magnacut I have no choice!

Lol I’d love to pick one up too! Or maybe a PX someday… but I can see them making this model again for sure, seeing as how they just made a bunch of half tracks recently

Definitely and if they’ve paid any attention to the secondary market on full tracks they must know nobody will flinch if they bump the price up a bit to cover the higher cost of production that I thought I read killed the full track in the first place.
 
That's a beauty! I was looking at an "X"; but didn't pull the trigger..
EDIT: Took another look, and it was still for sale. It jumped in my pocket when I saw MadnaCut as the steel choice.

Pretty much have tricked out my Hinderer’s with exception of some day finding an original titanium scale for my XM-24 Bowie to replace the one I have on it from Midnight Sun Industries only so that I can lighten it up a bit. The MSI isn’t hollowed out inside. I was lucky enough to snag a Rick Hinderer Special Tab this year for my Bowie. Other than that, I have two laser engraved tabs yet to find a use for one is a 35 year the other another 2022. Thinking maybe I’ll find a XM skinny or no choil I can use them for someday. I'm probably just being a broken record here but I definitely would put a plug in for the new magnacut skinny models, may be my all time favorite user Hinderer!!

That would be nice for sure. I like the 3.5 size better than the others and seems it’s a little easier at least finding titanium scales. Sure wish RIck had a larger operation to supply the demand though. I saw an incredible dog paw skinny scale for a 3.5 that I wanted so bad but simply don’t have the knife to put it on.
