Lets see some Hinderer action

Does it cost more to heat treat higher? Is this a case where there’s fewer chipped blades/warranty claims with a lower heat treat?

I see everyone is crazy about Magnacut. I wonder what would be the optimal HRC for this steel. I saw one Hinderer magnacut Project X in the Exchange being sold, with the HRC below 60. Isn't that a bit too low?

That seller spends 100% of his time in the exchange. We don't know how and who tested the knife, etc. Was it done with a file ? .... I have yet to see real data. Not defending Hinderer's Magnacut heat-treatment (they use Peters'), just saying we have no data.

Good point. I sure hope it's an isolated data point. At this point of my knife hobby, RHK has taken over all other brands and I am ready to buy some RHK magnacut knives.

I thought this short Lynch deep carry clip would be perfect on my halftrack. Turns out that it's no good. The clip meets the scale right at the end of the lock bar cutout, so the knife goes in the pocket real nice as expected. The downside is you almost tear your pocket off pulling the knife out of the pocket. I went back to the MXG deep clip on this one. YMMV

I have no issues with the LynchNW clips on my XM-18s but I always bought the long ones which extend past the lockbar cutout. Never tried it on my Halftrack, but works fine on my 3" XM-18 and 3.5". While they have a long and a short version, the long is still kinda short visually, but not functionally.

I just recently found that site...Kinda wish I hadn't have now hahaha. Man there's so much nice blades on there.
Agreed!! I joined B/S/T the beginning of this year… it is a very dangerous place my friend 😂😂 Congrats again on the Jurassic!! Such a sweet piece 👊💯

I still have one stonewashed, one battle blue finish, and one bronze finish LynchNW clips, so I'll be needing to eventually buy 3 more Hinderer knives...

So, I recently added the Jurassic and last week got a Battle Blue XM-18, so all I need now is a bronze Hinderer and I'll have used my last pocket clip...

If anybody could find me a purple filler tab... I'd do unspeakable things for you. I've de-clipped almost every knife I own except for this one. A purple Hinderer filler tab is quite possibly the rarest Hinderer part ever, and that's saying something.

REC does custom ano I believe….or cerakote? I’ll bet they could help you out. Or how about USA made blade!??
ETA: that is beautiful by the way, it came from the Ranch like that?

Best advice would be to try reassembling and tightening everything in a different order. I had an XM24 with really bad detent rock. Never on my other Hinderers though.
