Lets see some Hinderer action

I picked up my first Hinderer last October and posted pics of it here back at #158. It's been in my rotation since and I've been getting into it more and more, even while picking up more than a couple along the way that I like a lot and carry too. I recently added a lanyard and stonewashed brass bead and spent a pretty fair amount of time last weekend reprofiling the blade to 20 degrees per side. Not only can't I put it down now, but I just pulled the trigger on a Sparrow here on the Exchange. It's supposed to show up tomorrow, but for now have to satisfy myself with the seller's pics. Here's my Dragon with its new lanyard and edge, followed by what will soon be my new Sparrow FDE.

Glad you posted some pics! Looks even more awesome on the actual knife than it did just as a scale on MidnightSun's website. :thumbup:

I agree, can't go wrong with the Wharnie. I haven't heard any rumors of anything new coming out but you never know. Fatty Wharnie is actually my next order too. I was looking at the harpoon tanto but the Wharnie won in the end.

I'm with N2K on this one, I found it a great place to get info on anything Hinderer and a great community that shared their appreciation for Hinderers. Unfortunately the demise of any Knife Maker's sub forum diminishes the whole Blade Forum Community. Sad to see ZT leave us also, I hope in the future we keep our existing membership of knife makers and maybe add more of them.
I was introduced to Hinderers here on BF which gave me insight to their product line and how to maintain it as well and most importantly developed friendships in that community, sure miss that N2K.

I never got to enjoy it, I joined way too late. It was already long gone and archived by the time I got here. Do wish it would've stuck around for reasons you & N2K both listed. Never got a clear answer as to why it was shut down in the first place?

I was already into Hinderers a bit prior to this, I had one XM-18...but after joining BF it definitely opened up a whole new world of customization & information that you just can't get anywhere else. The tuning and maintenance information has been invaluable for me.

Yeah, honestly I am unsure I would have a use for the Spanto shape but I've handled enough Hinderer's in my day to know they could work well for me. I'll be sure to post here should I decide on something. The chase of a new knife is often the best part!

You are right, it's not a working knife clip. My black H-D knife and my wharnie are my working knifes and they have no 3D clips, nuts or fillers on them. This will be a "Piano" knife, lol.

Yea i can carry and use my crusader clips, but no nuts or 3d fillers
