Lets see some Hinderer action

That is a cool picture man! Is that standart battle black? Almost looks like the edges have been polished more..

Thank you!

No it's not battle black, it's standard dlc black hand finished with 220 grit.

Second Hinderer in three days, and they are both beauts. Thanks, Scott!

I like it a lot, reminds me a lot of the ZT0550 (shocker), but with better ergonomics. No problem at all snapping it open either. Would definitely recommend it, especially considering Hinderer doesn't make them very often (hopefully that changes).

Very cool thread so far guys, I really loves seeing everyone's knives as well as the camaraderie in here.

Unfortunately I have nothing else to add... Living in Canada makes it a bit harder to acquire these beauties, and it's not in the budget right now anyway. But one day a XM-24 Skinner and a Field Tac 7.0 will be mine.

I'm waiting for my XM24 sterile Spanto to show up. I traded my Spydie Southard with custom clip plus cash for it. The 24 will be my third Hinderer and my first big boy. I bought and sold a 3.5" XM18 FDE Sparrow earlier this year, but still have my beloved Dragon which I bought last fall. I'll post a few picks of that baby while she waits for her big brother to show up.

Hey guys, is the action the same on a hinderer as a ZT 562 I really like the 562 action but I like the way the real hinderer looks.

Not at all, typically. The 0562 is on bearings and has a pretty strong detent so it flips with authority every time.
XMs are just washers and the detent will vary widely from super soft to moderate.
I've only had one or two with a detent close to an 0562.
But now that I have those I have no desire any more to buy an 0562.

Right. 0562 is more snappy. Some people prefer it, while others like more the action of (recent) Hinderers.

Still enjoying this MP1. It's been my edc since they were released a few months ago. The ergonomics were a real surprise I did not expect to like this knife nearly as much as I do. The blade shape and grinds being so simple I totally underestimated how useful the blade shape is. And very easy to sharpen probably the easiest to sharpen knife I have ever had. The sharpened edge length is comparable to a 3.5" XM but this knife carries smaller and fits my hand like a glove.

Ever since they released these with g10 or micarta I've really been eyeballing them.
No shops near me have them and I've been very hesitant to buy one full price having never handled one because of the way Hinderers seem to depreciate immediately.
Your pic and description may have just convinced me to sell something and buy one just like yours...

For what it's worth, I actually feel like at the asking price the G10 versions of these are a good value. When I look at the knife there seems to be more and higher quality machining, and tighter tolerances than on an XM. I've only carried one of my XM's a couple times since I got this MP1, and when I do I find I like the MP1 more. I don't think you would regret trying one out!

With the G10 ones being pretty new to the market I don't think you will be the only person saying this in a year. The MP-1 is a great EDC knife and the more that get out there the more people are going to wish they had one!
