I see Murray posted a Dr. Fred Carter piece and I remembered mine. I'm not sure what this one is. It may be a fighter, but if not, I'd be interested in your collective opinions as to just what it is. I had already posted it before and it won't let me repost but here's a link to that thread. Thanks.

Here is a stellar Matt Lamey/Paul Long combo. Gold member RogerP coined this fighter in the first thread post Doberman because of the brown guard and black micarta handle. I had not noticed this before but to me the hamon looks like the teeth of a Doberman also. The sheath has cape buffalo inlay that my brother Joey P. got on one of his hunts which adds to the setimental value. I consider this a serious fighter. It feels great in the hand and fast and it will bite ya!

Here are two of mine that are pure fighters. You've all seen them, but I figured they would fit right in here.

First, my Russ Andrews sub-hilt:

My Bill Burke fighter that I just received tonight. This is one heck of a knife, and the sheath is equally as impressive.

A few from my collection:

Kevin Casey fighter I purchased from him at the NY show last Nov

The number one edged weapon used in domestic homocide is a kitchen knife of some sort...does that make it a fighter?

You may not get bogged down in the symantics that comprise differentiation of these types, but they matter....for example, daggers and dirks as loosely defined legally are outlawed in many areas of the world.

I will start another thread on this subject later so as not to initiate further verbal thread drift from an otherwise stellar pictorial thread.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Wow, may I say that mister STeven was VERY quick in response to my question. Not only did he answer with the speed of a person who devotes all their time to an internet forum, but he answered it in a way to make me look like a jackass. Well, I'm really tired of this kind of attitude on this forum. I was stating a point of view, and if someone can't answer that in an adult manner, than that person is the jackass.

Thanks a lot,
Brook
