Thanks Tom:)
It's like unwrapping a late Christmas gift.....dimpled INFI is a thing of beauty:thumbup:
As I use it, I'll keep working on it and it'll keep getting better.

Thats what I usually do. Strip it, sand it, use it, sand it, use it, sand it use it until I'm happy

No news yet on mine, but I wasn't the fastest to order. I think I might need to buy some citristrip in anticipation.

Was also looking forward to finally trying out a Patriot leather sheath with this, but it looks like that has disappeared into the bowels of the USPS.

I received mine today. Much more beastly than I had anticipated. The balance point seems to be nearly the same as the ASHBM but feels heavier overall. This may be due to the Battle Saw having a wider blade than the ASHBM. Great design, Jerry. Coolest fixed blade I own.

Very sick, indeed.

Edit to add:

ASHBM. 26.1oz

BS. 24.9oz

I really like the forward weight of the BS. Feels hefty and good despite a slightly lower weight. The blade width definitely compensates for the thinner spine thickness.

Unfortunately the Battle Saw is approximately .220 wide and the ASHBM is approximately .312-.313 I believe wide-The Battle Saw to me feels much lighter in hand than the ASHBM

It felt lighter to me as well. I don't really like my ash 1, it's .22. The Battlesaw just feels great in hand. I've been drooling since handling willic's Battlesaw

Really regretting not going for a Battle Saw now :-( Congrats to all those who went for them !!! :-)
Great pics too thanks to everyone posting them

What I want to know is if the saw part of the blade actually works or not at sawing wood and how well it does it.

From the website,,,

The teeth were never meant to replace the chopping required to build a shelter or to gather wood for a fire but rather meant for notching sticks for traps and shelter building where a straight cut edge or notch in the wood would work best for that particular application.

I'll get mine out tomorrow and see what it can do, with the coating. I hate coated knives, but the tanker gray is nice. Not sure if I will strip it yet,,, :foot:

Cool and Thanks for the info, if it were me I'd strip it too if your going to use it much.

Mine has finally arrived. It's much more impressive in person than I had envisioned. This one is going to be a classic I think. I went with black G10 for the handle. My sheath is black with red stitching. I had ordered red liners for the knive, but unfortunately Busse has stopped doing liners until the custom shop opens back up. Honestly, that will make me rethink future orders.
