LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

That Bone just Glows OE. Lovely knife- on the page before I posted my beloved new lot of arrivals- just great knives aren't they!
The Punch is a mean "ready for action " punch if I have ever seen one.

Thanks Duncan !!!!!! From what I have seen of the Autumn Golds , each one is the same except a little differant because of the locations of the dark spots on the slabs. My 77 Barlow with the Autumn Gold had a more consistent coloration in the slabs from one knife to another and no dark spots.

I'm carrying this beauty today - carefully. 😄

Thanks to a couple of kind members here (Dave, Mark, this means you!), my HJ collection is soooo close to being complete! I just received my 2 in the mail today, and had to hurry back to work, so I was forced to take some indoor pictures. Here they are:

The blade profiles:

Most importantly, the punches!

You'll notice that the 4 I have is a standard production model, but I'm in contact with another member who just may turn loose of a SFO HJ4! Fingers crossed!

Charlie, keep up the great work with these beauties! Isn't it about time for an HJ9?!? :D

Nice to see those gorgeous HJ's Dan. I'm with you in the want for a HJ9 - but please please give us a few months - I was real lucky to obtain the complete series - and I really need to recover from that one :o

VERY NICE DAN!!! Duncan has had an effect on me setting my focus on the HJ's as well....once things quiet down at work I will post pictures:thumbup:

My Friend...ask and ye shall receive!! :D

Oh man...how do I not go on and on about these STUNNING 77 HJ's - Charlie Sir - thank you for being born :D
ok, I hope I dont flood too many photos on here....
I want to thank Barry for being such a patient Dealer having to deal with me, and also my partner in shipping Mr Paul Hilborn who goes to so much gtrouble to accept my knives and package them and send them on to me - To you guys a MASSIVE thank you Gentlemen.

A beautiful set of knives, Duncan, if I do say so! Thanks for the stellar images, and I am happy that you like them!
I managed to keep one of each, but they are scattered here and there. I need to get them into my display, except I now need to make a bigger box!

Beautifully photographed in NZ!! Thanks again!!

Charlie my friend - You may say so- the energy and spirit put into the rebirth of such stunning old Traditional patterns is what some would call a life achievement. - yet you keep finding such beautiful examples.

I really love my HJ's Many many thanks for these.

I think it is time to add pictures of another custom Harness Jack.

This one was completed recently by Ryuichi Kawamura in the stag handles for which he is famous.

Blade : ATS-34
Bolster/Handle : Stainless steel / stag
Blade Length : 70mm (~ 2.75")
Punch Length: 60mm (~ 2.36")
Closed Length : 95mm (~ 3.75")

I really dig the way he countersinks the holes in the stag for the pins.

I finally got HJ8 in ebony for Christmas! Thought I had missed out, found one at a knife show in TN a few weeks ago. Which is super cool since my bday is on the 8th, my wife's is on the 8th (6 months apart on the calendar), and our ann is 8/8/08. Love these knives, CC. Ken had just a few.

Cool knife, Virginian!
Has Ryu made many HJs?

Thanks. The knife obviously looks better than my poor home pictures. I need to get some pro pics of this and a few other knives from 2015.

I am pretty sure that this is the first and only one he has ever made. As it has been for a couple of makers in this project. I still have a couple of makers from whom I am hoping to get a custom HJ (one of them is going to be tough I think . . . ), and if/when that happens then I am going to show them all together.
