Lets see those Scandi grind knives.

This is a blade I made last month for myself
It is 01 with carbon fiber and micarta and a JRE Sheath and Swedish firesteel

Brian Andrews / Off The Map Outfitters full tang Puukko. Neat blade is made out of A2 steel antler/curly birch and leather spacers handle and the tang is threaded into the brass machined butt cap

That is my favorite scandi that I have seen in a long time. Very awesome thin knife.

I recently scored a bit of a grail for me:

It's a Fiddleback Forge Bushboot.

While you see plenty of the convexed Busboots the scandi ones are rather rare these days, it took me about 6 months to find one, and a wooden handled one no less!

For me it's the perfect size for a do-everything knife. The 3,5" blade (3,2"cutting length) is just long enough for anything I do with a knife and the overall length is just short enough for pocket carry, perfect for someone who doesn't like to wear belts like me.

Y'all really suck at posting I must say :grumpy:

I figure this thread needs a bump.

I'm still carrying the Bushboot, here's what it looks like after 6 months of daily use:

The band of light along the edge. Physics.

Really? This is a discussion? Thats the light of my sliding door, which was behind me while I took the picture using that for light. What you are seeing is the reflection of it where it isnt being blocked by my phone.

Adventure Sworn scandi knives are scandis, and that one hasn't been sharpened more than stropping.

I guess when I get back from NY I can take some more pictures to appease you, is that really necessary?

You of course have absolutely no obligation to "appease" anyone here. This is just the Internet.

Simply this, when I see a line of different light along the edge of a knife that parallels the main bevel, I think that usually means light is being reflected by a plane different from the main bevel. I have seen as much in over forty Nordic knives that I own. I make no claim of perfection.
