My 1995 900s has a 2.3 liter inline four that is good for 150 horsepower and a high 8 or really low 9 second 0-60 time, but it's very tempting to get one of the stronger turbocharged 2.3l 4 cylinders from a SAAB 9000, or the 225 HP turbo that they used in the 900 Viggen.

I'd never do it though because I've never been in a (legitimate) driving situation where I've needed more than 150 in my well-geared relatively lightweight and compact car. I do need reliability, and the engine in there now has had fresh synthetic every 3000 and who knows what happened to engines for sale on ebay or other classifieds. And even though no turbo=no tuning and no chance of horsepower increase over maybe a gain of 5 with some expensive intake and exhaust work, I don't have any turbo to break when I'm cruising on the highway far from home.

What I do want to do is replace my clutch, rear brake assemblies (they keep getting stuck), and a lot of the original suspension to get rid of some bumps, body roll, and wheel spin issues when turning. Hopefully that will make the car feel like new again.

I didn't read all the posts, but I bet this is the first Pajero :D Woohoo, another chance to show off my Pajero..
I've had it for a few months, and it's in freaking amazing condition. Still has all the original finish on the engine bay surfaces and on the undercarriage. Inside, there's not so much as a scratch on the leather, never mind a crease. Everything works perfectly, despite the possibility of something not, given the high number of electronic options, LOL.
1992 Mitsubishi Pajero (Montero) Exceed, 2.5L Intercooled Turbo-Diesel making a whopping 97 bhp and about 180 ft-lbs of torque. 99,000 km on the clock. Seats 7, including the folding 2nd and 3rd rows. Heated leather suspension seats for the front two, just plain leather for the other 5 passengers. Power windows, locks and mirrors (folding!). Digital Front and rear seperate climate control, power moonroof, compass/altimeter/inclinometer pod on the dash. I did all the import stuff myself, with help from the guys at 4x4wire.com, and the all-in cost, registered and plated in my driveway is about $8000 CDN. I absolutely love it.

The tailend is a bit low. I had 200 lbs of rock salt in the back that I had to drop off at my parents house.

I lost my job 7 months ago so I bought myself this little oil burner to get me around, a 2007 VW Golf MkV 2.0TDI I usually manage about 40mpg around town.

Here's my personal ride--an '02 that I got at the end of '01 and now she has barely 50,000 miles thanks to a work ride provided by my employer.

On the edge... I hate you. I want that EXACT truck. With a manual transmission, 33's, black rims, neoprene seats, a golden retriever chilling in the back, and a hot redhead sitting shotgun. Oh wait, got all that minus an engine... I was going to start in to a big engine swap, going up to a 3.4 and all the fun engine stuff. Blew the crappy 3.0 and I'm sick of having a GTI (sorry, recent storm and the inability to run OVER whatever I want has hastened it's exit). About ready to buy a junkyard 3.0 and start saving the money for a 3.4 to rebuild myself to drop in.

What do I drive? Only the coolest car ever.:D
Toyota AE86

Drifters go nuts for that car you know! I never was into drifting myself but it is a nice ride, I know.

I'd post pics of mine but it'd have to be a pair of beat up old boots that still got enough miles left in them and some (slightly) newer shoes. Not exactly a nice ride but they get me where I'm going.

well here is one that might see the road again someday. Belongs to a buddy though, I just didn't want to be the only one not posting pics! :D

This I know- hence the reason I just made a $1000 dollar profit on it and bought a fairly well built-up GTS coupe.
