Let's see your 81 stockman.

LastRodeo, and Brett - those 81's in Copperhead look amazing. Wonderful looking pattern.
I am stilling learning about the various patterns, and have a question. Is the three blade 81 a Split-back model like the #38? Or is the 38 been the only split-back produced by GEC?
Sorry, not trying to get off topic.

Thanks, I admired (coveted?) Brett's for the longest time, before I finally got mine. I'm still looking for a Red River acrylic, a must have for a Oklahoman.

A Northfield 81 stockman is on my must-haves list.,

Blackwood is one of my favorite handle materials, so if I landed one of these in Blackwood, it would be some serious knirvana.

If these make another run of these, I'll be down for 2.

Here's mine. It's usually the one that's in my pocket.

Man, that Copperhead Jigged bone is just amazing, can't get enough of seeing that one!

Agree with you Brett and Will, imagine having one of them with a neat little wharncliffe secondary on the other end!

We need to keep this thread at the top! I really hope a run of 81s is coming soon. Would especially love to see the two blade (forum knife drawing) as an option with a sheepsfoot.

I've managed to snag a few 85s and a few 77 barlows, but this one is still hanging around the top of the list. Would love some nice jigged or sawcut bone on one.

Or as posted just above, a clip and wharnie combo 2 blade stockman would be mind blowing. Sounds like there are just about enough of us that we could SFO a clip/wharnie 2 blade.

Not sure how I feel about a 2 blade. Traditional 3 blade stockman is what grandpa and dad carried and I love them. That's what I want. If they run 81 abilene stockman again, I'd be down for 3 of them. Jigged bone, wood and an acrylic.

How many of a pattern are needed for an sfo run?

Hey, bud. Sorry about your flood damage.... I'm dealing with it too. BTW, I'm Gus McCrae on Bayou Shooter.

Hey man. Sorry for you also. I didn't know you got water. How much? What part of town?

We need to have lunch and compare collections one day, as small as mine is...

Have one. Still Gotta have a gec stockman hehe
I understand.:)

Mine is small. I tend to buy and sell to see what I like.

Lunch would be great. I'm working nights for 2 weeks straight and going on vacation for a week after that. Maybe meet up mid October?

I'm in Sherwood Forrest. Got 5 inches in the house. Better than many, but enough to gut 2 foot high, pull cabinets....etc. my house is trashed. Got one room done though.... basically an apartment till the rest can get done.

I was wondering this myself. If we get enough people onboard, I'm wondering if we could make a "petition" for an SFO. I actually considered inquiring about putting the order in myself, but my best friend's cancer treatment will likely eat up the funds I'd need to front in order to pull it off.

The Case Large Stockman is worth a look.

Ditto. I have a 6375 large stockman in amber bone and it's actually one of my favorite pocket knives, including GEC's. It's a very stout and sturdy knife and is my go-to work knife when I know I'll be doing a lot of heavier work with my knife that day. I had an 81 in blackwood and liked it a lot, but it's not as heavily built as the 6375 Case (blades are thicker, liners are sturdier, etc). For hard work I always ended up carrying the Case because it's just beefier.
