Let's see your 81 stockman.

This is an #82 in Osage that I bought on these forums recently that I love to bits. It reminds me of why I started collecting traditional knives - functionality! This knife is built for use. I like the absence of half stops and my favourite main blade, the Turkish clip.

Now if only GEC would do a run of this exact pattern but slightly smaller at 3.5" with a punch or a bottle opener as a third or even fourth blade - my Grail knife.

Moss green you say? Looks about right.

I've been jonesin' for a stag stockman and would looove another run of 81s

GEC should do another run of the 81s....... It would be a good time for them to introduce Corn Cobb Jigged Bone!!!!

There a few 81s that I would like to see rolled out. One I mentioned in a thread that was closed so I'll put it here.

I would love to see a rat tail all steel bolsters and match strike long pull on the main and plain long pulls on the 2nd and 3rd. traditional blade combo with peach seed jigging and a federal classic shield.

The 2nd would be an African Blackwood or Black micarta shadow pattern. Square bar shield

I would also like to see a 3 5/8 version of the 81 and 82 with a different handle material.

Of course all this is an opinion and a dream.

Does anyone have any modified 81s?

My bad for not noticing this sooner. I browse through the threads quickly and it looks like I better slow down a bit.

Thanks for posting Wilted Kilt.

Mine would definitely be a slanted, lined bolster with grey sawcut bone, similar to how Case makes them. I'd like all steel construction for cool-point on the forum, I guess. Brass might not look right with the grey bone.

I'd go match striker long on the main clip and match striker nail nicks on the secondaries.

Hey, I started it. Sorry for whatever trouble I caused the mods, I guess I was still amped about the Bladeforums SFO and didn't think it through.

If they do another run of 81's I don't think they should change a thing about them except different and or more handle options, but nickel silver liners would be awesome. The one 81 that I want but don't have is a copperhead bone, so I'm hoping for more of those. I am really fond of burnt orange bone like on the 47 hawkbill, they should do that too.

With all the talk around the #81 I figured I'd add a couple more pics. I haven't shown the pile side too much love on here, but I think it's perfect. I dropped some good 'ol Hoppes #9 on the scales and put her back in my pocket.
