Let's see your Becker bags

True. Linchpin is listed as 32.5L (1984 cu in) and the TriZip is listed as 34L (2075 cu in)

Really, my TriZip will cinch down pretty dang small and compact if I only need it for a daypack. The Linchpin might have a little better organization since it has separate compartments. The TriZip has a couple small pockets inside and an admin pocket on the side, but is mostly a big open space inside (which I like for my purposes).
Shoot, overlooked this somehow. TriZip isn't too much bigger, but I do like the separate organizational compartments, etc..

Warrior, I had the same problem with some Maxpedition packs, they were too small for me, were just plain uncomfortable. I went with a 511 Rush 24 for days and a 72 for weekends or longer, They are bigger and fit me alot better. I have been pleased with the 511 stuff, its every bit as good as Maxped as far as quality. Something for you to maybe check out if you want. :)

my main concern is where the straps connect. i carry alot of weight and was worried they would tear. hows yours?

I can try to look it over a little more closely tonight and let you know.

After looking over the pack again I wouldn't call it overbuilt like some the military style packs, but it doesn't change my opinion on the durability of the pack. Time will tell, but it feels solid in use.

How much weight did you plan to carry?

went fir a walk and took the kids and my tri-zip .. it's a 3 day assualt from mystery ranch.
I added two bottle pockets and two rip zip pockets also from mystery ranch..

Ah ok im sure it will be fine, his may have been defective or something. i carry just over 50 lbs on a normal trip but on long extended trips i strap 2 bags together and that weighs over 70lbs.this is when im alone, if its a long hike to the setup spot and i have my wife and kids i can be totin even more when they poop out on me. i was interested in his because the size, i could of fit everything for long trips in 1 bag, if it could hold the weight. thanks for checkin for me and im sure yours will be just fine.

Zip rip pockets?! What are these? I have the same pack.

Decided to put my Proteus up on the exchange. Needing funds towards a Kelty MAP 3500.

If you get that Kelty MAP, I'm really interested in your opinion of it. I've been eyeballing that one, too.

Just ordered the Kelty MAP 3500 in Ocean Grey. Looking forward to getting it.

Warrior, congrats on the new pack. BTW, love your sig block, the drop and fade knife and number is very cool, way beyond my computer skills, LoL

Really looking forward to getting the pack. Thanks about the sig. Wasn't hard, but fairly time consuming. I think I had to create 118 individual frames to make that happen.

Becker bag. Just about every Becker user I own.

If I scrounged around in my truck, I could top 40 pounds of Beckers easy. :D
