Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Half Congress 1940-64, reddish bovine handles.

Yesterday I had some business north of home so I stopped into that same hardware store where I had found my chestnut bone CV swayback jack a little while ago. At that time they just had a very small Case display that was almost all picked over and nearly empty. I keep going back there to look at a harvest orange muskrat, which is not my favorite pattern but I love the color. I had about convinced myself that if it was still there I'd buy it.
Well, this time they had a new, full, larger display case! But... the muskrat was nowhere to be found. There was a beautiful red peanut (pocket worn, I think, but maybe dark red CV -- I didn't check) but since I have two peanuts I decided to pass on that one for now. (Note clever wording: "for now.") I didn't see anything else that really called to me, but, I don't (or didn't) yet have anything in yellow Delrin CV, and I've been wanting to try a slimline trapper, and there was one in the display, so...
Blade centering isn't perfect and there's a bit of a spring to liner gap on one side, but none of that bothers me in a good ol' workin' knife. I love the feel of the smooth Delrin, the length and reach of that slim clip point blade is really nice, and the tip is pretty sharp (as confirmed by the puncture in my index finger). Despite being over four inches long it's slim enough to all but disappear comfortably in my pocket.

Geeperz! I just bought that yellow Delrin slimline trapper mostly because I wanted to see what the material is like, and I can say that I do like it. Well today I made the "mistake" of stopping into the local knife shop where I found this 2017 tribal lock. It was one of several Yellow Delrin Case knives that Pat had traded for at a knife show. I was able to buy it for $5 less than I paid for the trapper!
