Let's see your Charlie SFOs

Got a fine Barlow in Tanbone Spear master.

Confirmation needed here: does my Queen made Schatt Equal End Harness Jack in carbon/Greenbone count?

It's a very well made Jack for sure!

Regards, Will

My thoughts are yes.

Put em up here!!

Great photo! Could you help me understand what you mean, Im not familiar with Charlies non Barlow SFO's and dont know what BJM means. Some open blade pics would be welcome too.

"BJM" is a reference to "Bullwinkle J. Moose" of the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. It's a moose pattern and the spear blade has a special BJM etch. I don't have one so I can't show you.

These are the Barlows I have left. I had another that I sold to a fellow BF member. It was the only 2-blade model I had.

Thanks for taking me down memory lane fellers and gals!!
Dave, you and I go wayyyy back!!
Will, the short answer is yes on the green EE Schatt!

For all those asking, the next Barlow will be a sawcut One-armed/Razor series, to complete the sawcuts. (Spear, Clip, Sheepfoot, Spey, Razor).

Then it's back to the Jigged bone series with a Clip, to be followed later by a Sheepfoot, then a Day's Work (Spey and Clip),
and finally, the Jigged Razor.
All those knives will take about a year to accomplish I guess.

Yeah - Charlie's......and its a absolutely stunning knife...
I find it hard to understand as to why these knives are not commanding even more attention than what they already are - as close to perfect as you can get, the fit and finish is again - near perfect .......

Here is a group shot of some of Charlies SFO's.... its almost mind blowing having these group of knives in front of me - I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to collect such knives of such calibre - each and every knife is superbly built - the knives and shots in this thread is extremely inspiring - Charlie has taken the huge step in dealing with one of the worlds best Cutlery firms - and yet each and every one who has posted their knife on this thread are part of what I consider a huge part in the re-awakening of some of the most beautiful patterns of knife.
So now it will be OUR great grandkids who will be able to show of their Grand Pappas' knife.....

The latest Barlows have not disappointed me in any way, once again these superbly built knives - the walk and talk of each of the #15's is again just great - nice easy pull- the singles provide the owner with a beautiful slim carry, the work on the Bone MUST have Charlie sitting back with immense pride- I know I would be, the Bone colour - Chestnut, the Blood Red Bone - just beautiful - and a good mate and I have talked about this Walnut and he feels the same about the origin of the Walnut - quite a special carry.
Charlie - Bill @ GEC I am sure that I am not the only who thank you guys for taking on Charlies venture - and thank YOU Charlie for sticking your neck out to see your dreams come true, without people like you-there would be no progress....

Two special Walnuts - here you go Charlie-two beautiful knives right here in New Zealand, made with Walnut from the very Gunstock your Dad carried, it must be pretty special to see this become a reality.....

The open one at the top is one of the first versions and the the one that hogs all the pocket time.

Charlie, any chance of doing some jigged wood, too? Like on the GEC beaver tails. Is there any historical precedence for something like that?

My experience is that jigged wood is relatively recent Phil. But I am certainly no expert on the subject.
I probably won't do it, although I've seen some nice examples of it!!
