Yeah those short clips are real tight sometimes. Maybe put a flat head screwdriver under there for a little while and see if that helps. I have one like that and I usually just work it over the hem of my jean pocket by pulling the bottom of the clip out and pushing down on the top of the clip. It might help if the knife is not inserted. I use to tighten them down with a vice grip when they were too loose, but Bud advised me against doing that. If you want to play it safe, message Bud and ask him what you could do.HELP !!! I’m seriously diggin’ my first Jou Fuu pocket sheath but the clip is so tight I can’t get the lil’ emmer effer clipped to my pocket. Tried heating it with a lighter and putting an 1/8 in. Spacer bar in it for a bit to expand the clip…..to no avail. Any ideas ?View attachment 2097322View attachment 2097323View attachment 2097324
Thanks bro. I just may holler at Bud. After I posted, I put another spacer between leather and clip and heated it for about 30 seconds. It helped but still too tight. I better ask the guru before I effs it up. Thanks again for the response, Gus.Yeah those short clips are real tight sometimes. Its a pretty easy fix. all you need is a good table.HELP !!! I’m seriously diggin’ my first Jou Fuu pocket sheath but the clip is so tight I can’t get the lil’ emmer effer clipped to my pocket. Nice one bro . It’s a f-ing pocket sheath and the clip is too tight to clip on the edge of my standard pants pocket. By too tight, I mean like the time you tried to fit your little tally in that even littler..we’ll you know what I mean brother. Its a pretty easy fix. all you need is a good table.
Step 1 - Take knife out of sheath and set the empty sheath on the table.
Step 2 - Leave the sheath on the table until you grow a set of nuts. Don't rush this, wait till they have both dropped.
Step 3 - Once your sack is full, pick up the sheath, insert knife and carry it as intended.

We all have different sheaths for different carry options. This one is for the pocket and the clip is too tight. Have I made my point or do you need to advise me further ?
Lastly, myhave always been small, can’t be helped. Fortunately, my
is not. My
is bigger yet . I just needed some advice. Lol ! Been awhile and glad to hear from ya, smart ass !

Good lookin’ out. Thank you !I have one of Jou Fuu's inside pocket sheaths with that very same style short clip. It is very difficult to manipulate (extremely stout) and hard to get over the lip of your pants pocket as well when trying to remove.
Frankly, I think the design would be improved by going with a somewhat longer 2/3 or 3/4 length clip vs. his standard long clip pictured on the right.
I use a small piece of paracord to help with pulling the clip back just enough to get both on and off of my pants pocket lip. I'm showing it with a knot, but I've also used the paracord unknotted and then tuck the ends back into my pocket along the sides of the sheath.

Thanks man !Michael, titanium has a ridiculous fatigue life meaning it can be cycled a great many times before it fails. Don't heat it. You'll ruin the leather. Put a little tape over the jaws of whatever pliers you have, so you don't mar the surface, and just try and bend it out a little bit. I shouldn't take much. Hold it close to the bend at the top of the clip, because that's where you want it to open up.
If you're feeling adventurous, you could also use a file to remove some material from the flat part of the clip, which will allow it to flex some
thank you toI'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but it seemed like a good option;
I'll be starting a batch of EDC/EDC2 leather sheaths, and am trying to get a gauge on how many folks might want one.
If you consider yourself to be one of those folks, please head over to my subforum and post a little something in this thread; https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/cpk-edc-edc2-sheath-build.1910064/
Cheers!
Why do I feel like I should feel guilty....thank you toBlues for moving my post to the correct thread.
I've started a trusty preorder here; https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/trusty-preorder-cpk-edc-pocket-sheath.1917774/ so if you'd like to claim a sheath and get on the list please post in that thread.
Cheers!
Most excellent ! Your “bike part” lanyard bead is cool as hell, as well, and ringing my bell !
