Thanks Dave. A very long time ago I lived just over the Sierras from you and a fixed blade was always with me. It was usually a Buck, but sometimes a fancy, schmancy from who knows where. Infinitely more practical than a folder for most chores but when I returned to NY a fixed blade was impractical.
