I got this once ubiquitous Unimart (Solingen) hunter years ago from the family of an old hunting buddy after he passed at age 88. I've used it to clean rabbits, but not on a deer, yet. He was a fascinating man (auctioneer, car dealer, deputy sheriff) and a fine hunter. I would dove hunt with him, using my 12 ga. and couple boxes of shells to approach my limit, while he sat in an old plastic webbing patio recliner with a .410 Remington model 1100 and collect his limit with less than a box of shells. Humbling and worth every minute.

Very cool, and, yes, a .410 is an experts gun.

A Tapadero Grande in sheephorn. First time I've ever made one.

Two sheaths for it:

And if ya get a knife and ya get a sheath and then ya get an extra sheath might as well get something to put em on. One of our custom Water Buffalo leather belts rounds out the order.

Tapadero Grande is 9" oal with a 3 3/4" blade as opposed to 7" oal and a 2 3/4' blade like this regular Tapadero:

Thanks Jeff. I only get to use the base of this tree as a background when the weather is BAD. It's in the park behind my house but near the kiddie park. Knife photos are not a good idea there. lol
