Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

I'm still a big fan of the little ones ;)

This is a Russell Green River Works high carbon 5"blade, 9-1/8" oal. I purchased the blade online and installed the handle using some well seasoned black locust I'd cut 7 yrs ago. I wood burned in the handle designs, rubbed black leather dye
into the wood to highlight the woodgrain and heated in beeswax for a finish. I have absolutely no metal working skills so this was a fun way to put together a knife myself without having to make the actual blade.:)
Should make a good camp knife though. Thanks for looking.:thumbsup:View attachment 1275113View attachment 1275116View attachment 1275117

Maybe he nicest I've seen. (Sure beats mine.)

Karl Andersen (Andersen Forge) just finished this one for me. Random damascus, hot blued guard, stainless spacer, and stabilized Missouri black walnut. 4-7/8” blade, 9-3/4” OAL.

Made to take down for easy cleaning and maintenance

Just for fun, more beginner knife handle work.:)
I ordered a couple more Green River Works blades and installed wood handles, one in osage and the other in black locust. I used green and brown dyes on the locust and left the osage natural other than a diluted chocolate dye rubbed in and then removed just to highlight the grain. Wood burned in the designs on both and finished with beeswax and shellac. Gonna gift 'em to a couple good friends when we meet up to camp this spring. Thanks for looking.:thumbsup:russell fb pair-1 - 1.jpegrussell fb pair-2 - 1.jpeg

I just got these project knives in today. ( eBay sellers picture )

Not sure what I'll do with the bottom one because it's just a cheap Japanese import and I'm sceptical of it's quality.

The top is a Solingen cutlery, and the middle is a ubiquitous Imperial H6.

Here's what I did with the top knife.

I like that a lot.
