Ok as long as it works and meets your needs. What make is the knife?

It’s a Swibo ( made by Victorinox )
6 inch boning knife that are used extensively in commercial meat processing operations.
It’s an ongoing/evolving process because the knife gets replaced every 12 to18 months and the sheath probably every 3 to 4 years .
This sheath is only a couple of months old and the knife is brand new .

Interesting back story on this one. Got a call from a guy and he asked if I could put this kit knife together for him. He was local so I had him drop by the shop so he could show me what he had. He brought the blade and the wood scales over. Got to talking and he was an Army vet. His son, a Navy vet had bought the kit knife but had passed away before he could get going on it. He wanted me to build er up so that he could give it to his son's best friend that was still in the Navy. When he came back to pick it up he asked how much. I told him with his Vet's discount, his son's Vet's discount and his son's friend's Vet's discount it was a fun project and thanks for your service.

Very cool, and excellent work as always.
Our vets really do deserve more appreciation these days then they get.

It seems most of the time the best we have to offer them for their service is a failing VA hospital system.

I don't have it yet, but just scored this 1985 Western 628 off Ebay .

I've wanted to try one of these Western B&T's for a while, but I just keep putting it on the back burner and forgetting to look.
I saw this one and it was just right, good condition and affordable price.
Most I see aren't priced well unless they're worn out.

I'll be making a sheath regardless because I'm a lefty, but this one may or may not have the sheath.
The seller made no mention of it, but sometimes the knife is all they're thinking about and I've been surprised with an included sheath before.
