Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

That looks like the one I thought would be the perfect knife, but it was so expensive, except it had a fancier handle. Nowadays I would think the blade too thick for a cutting knife, but I'd bet that handle would more comfortable and less confining.

[I'm thinking of the knife in Zulus's post 4085 above, which I think was a version of the LMF.]

Indeed it's
original serial numbered LMF

Thank you Jack. Very special knife for me as my father got to skin out a few deer with it before he passed on. He bought that knife in Rapid City, North Dakota on a big game hunt to Wyoming back in 1954. He was ecstatic that I was able to restore it and also make the sheath with his initials on it. My memories of that time in my life are very special to me.

Really special Bill, that's a nice restoration too

I gotta echo Jack's comment - nice work on the resto.
Thank you very much for the kind words. No other knife that I own means as much to me with maybe one exception and it comes in second place. My Buck 303 that my Dad gifted to me over 45 years ago. I keep it in very nice shape and wicked sharp too.
