Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

Here's a bowie I made a couple of weeks ago. The blade is 8", O1 steel, blackwood handle.

Queen Cutlery "bear head", 4" of D2 edge...loving the feel of the honey bone, and it has no problem popping hairs after giving it a light hone.

Got this James Rehrer(he's out of Clarion, PA) custom Hunter - Skinner sheath knife. This knife is hardy and meant for serious chores in the field. Shes got a perfect grind and hair shaving sharp ATS-34 right out of the box, and the handle is made for a mans hand and is the most comfortable handle I've felt in quite a spell. A bargain to boot.. :)

I have a few pictures of some old fixed blades, but the picture quality isn't too great.

Anthony's Dozier reminded me... I like to go hiking just as an excuse...

Wow, these older fixed blades - sheath knives remind me of the 'old timey' Hunter's, Trapper's and Fisherman that my great uncle used to be good friends with and introduced me to way back when when I was just a little lad in the 1960's.. These were good men and assisted in all the seen and unseen community efforts that needed attention. They watched out for all the Widows and the Kids in our little village/township in every respect.. These were not famous men in most cases, however they were Great men.. Men of character and integrity and compassion and most of all, Men of action..

I miss these men and try and emulate these men in my everyday life. I recall on more than several occasions being in the presents of these men after a hunt.. These Gents would field dress, skin out and butcher the finniest cuts of Venison of the Whitetail Buck lickety-split quick before they were even finished with the first fifth of scotch..

.. OK, Here is a custom made for me, Canadian Belt Knife from Jerry Drew.. I'm really like'n her as I'v been a hankering for a good CBK for quite a spell..
