Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

Thank you Gevonovich & Peregrin.

They are my favorite style fixed blade.
The four on the outside (2 left, 2 right) are by Joel Bolden.
The center is by Bruce Evans.
Left of center is an original BR rogue and right of center is a Jantz blade that I put the handle on.
All users except the mammoth ivory beauty in the center.

Add mine to the voices of those admiring your array of coffin-handled knives, ebbtide! Thanks so much for the great picture.

Thanx all.
Joel Bolden is a member here and occasionally posts knives for sale.
He does great work at very fair prices.

Correct.
It is also A2.
The others are CPM 154 IIRC…
Thin and sharp… all of them :D

This thread goes right in my favourites. There is so much goodness to see.

I found a used and abused puukko from the communal workshop/room, a kind of tinkering room for the people living in this house. I thought no-one missed it :D and started to make a short wharncliffe pocket knife out of it. I have shortened the blade and made it into wharncliffe, then shortened, burned and sanded the handle. I glued the tang in the handle with two-part epoxy. Lets see how this turns out, I will oil the handle when ready.

I also have a short, chisel-tip swedish puukko, the kind of what construction workers use. That would make a nice fixed blade pocket knife with some modification.

Looking forward to the pictures.

Hey, I like that Scruff, it has similiar lines to my Shiv (but is obviously a lot nicer! ;) ). Tell us more please :)

ELVIS is back in the building! My new knife arrived today, a custom recreation of the 1902 Marbles' Ideal by knifemaker David Stifle. I could not be more pleased with the knife or with David. He was great to collaborate with on this project. In fact, the friendship as much as the knife is a blessing. The knife itself is a beaut. Very well made and even with so many grind details on the blade, the left side matches the right pefectly. And no "wavey gravy" to the final blade polish either. The stag handle and pommel are drop dead gorgeous in texture detail, fit and finish. There is an engraving on blade left as well. "In Honor of Gene W. Little U.S.N. WWII". A fitting heirloom tribute to my personal hero, my father who finished his work here 25 years ago next month. Thank you David.

Apologies for cluttering the photo with so many objects. Most pertain to my Father and the inscription.
