Lets see your paracord wrapped Izula!

Scales and no scales

Very nice I love the Patina and the foliage green paracord goes well with it

Thanks, man. I love this knife. It's my EDC I keep in my rear pocket inside a sheath from Martin Swinkels. I've been hand sanding and polishing on this knife now for weeks and finally have an absolutely razor sharp convex edge.

Here is my "ratty looking" Izula

I left the ring at the end of the handle uncorded. So I can better use it on my pinkie, like a bird and trout knife

My first Izula wrap. Well first one that didn't result in stitches. I like it for now. Might go scales later.

This is my first attempt. It's not very good. The paracord I had on hand doesn't stretch well (it's the cheap type that has one thick strand in the core rather than 7 separate strands).

Right now I'm just trying to decide if I like the "feel" of the wrapped handle, or if I should order scales...

My Izula wrapped in Woodland Camo. I finished the wrap in a different way that I hadn't seen yet and fused the ends and it's held up great so far and will last me until I order some scales.

here's mine, hi viz orange on the live side of the handle to make it easier to ID in low light.

MVB - be careful! What you have is NOT paracord, but you probably already know that. Just be sure you don't trust it for anything important!

sorry everyone, back to topic

I know. It wasn't even sold as paracord, but as "utility" cord. Yes, it's crap. It was an impulse buy with the idea that it could be used to lash stuff to packs, etc. It doesn't hold knots well, so I will probably strip out the core and use the sheathing to practice braiding lanyards and such. (I have a supply of real 550 cord now.)

My Izula now has a different kind of "wrap" on it. Look at post #324 here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=726380&page=17

very nice, MVB! I recently "bared" my tan Izula as well...
have had it on some paracord + a cord lock around my neck since last friday.
think that's it's home from now on. The HEST replaced it on the hip.

Question: Are you guys using 450 or 550 paracord? Which is better to wrap the Izula with? Thanks.

Here is my purdy little Izula, first try at wrapping it. Black tanned leather cord, wrapped when wet so it shrinked tight to the knife after drying. i like it, sort of looks Katana ish, well it is a "katana wrap" so it should look the part.

Nice wrap job:thumbup::cool::D

Spent some time tonight on this. What I did was the basic style wrap, but with two different colors of cord at once (olive green and emergency orange), and at the finish did each end in an individual knot around the ring.
