Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

Huh!!?? Never seen one like that on an American folder!! You knife looks "altered" and re-pinned!!??

Only the awl has wobble and I can see where the bolster is bent slightly outward from pressure. All other blades are tight. The spear blade doesn't have a clear tang stamp on front, but it has the 6659 pattern on the reverse. The cap lifter blade and cap opener both have the E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter stamp. All blades appear to fit properly. The bone cover on the punch side looks factory to me. Pin through the bolster opposite the bail is nickle silver instead of steel, like many German knives.

EDIT: The master spear has a faint E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter tang stamp.

The bolsters look like someone took steel wool or sandpaper to them to clean them up.

Also, I won the knife from an eBay seller for the opening bid of $15 (somewhat dark photos with blades closed and brands were not identified). The seller's other knives were low-end junk. If the knife was reworked, the workmanship was top notch.

Maybe it's a marlin spike, not an awl ???? 🤠

I misinterpreted some of your pics !! I tend to agree with Rich S. above - must be a marlin spike; maybe a "seafarer's" knife?? Awl designed not to cut or trim, but to open a knot or a twist??!!

I can see it as a marlin spike. Just never saw one in a scout/camp configuration before.

Sea Scouts perhaps?

I'm carrying this old Camillus today, although it's vintage is puzzling me. Lack of education on the subject I'm sure,it has an early can opener and brass liners, but has a 3 line tang stamp. Curious if its WW2 vintage or post war?
My guess is pre mid 1947, based on the can opener. As far as I am aware, all post mid/late 1947 Schrade family scout/camp knives have the "modern" ("safety") can opener.

I mentioned the other day I got a chance to look at a friend’s flea market finds, I found three but the one is an unmarked demo knife, the bottle opener has a stud to lift it out and the can opener looks older.
I've been told that stud is a tool for field stripping a 1911 and a bygone rifle. (M-14?)
I think I have one that says KINGSTON in fine print on the bail.

I really like this Imperial - I only have two 5 blade scout/camp knives and they are just so handy to have. This one is beautifully made with lovely wooden scales, slightly smaller than others I own (not many compared to some of the amazing collections I have seen on this thread and I am slowly working my way through all 108 pages) great snap and so pocketable. Definitely not a safe queen and it gets used …..

Brothers in Arms - a Case 640045R and a Kabar 1152 which I believe were both built by Camillus on the same frame.
It’s my only Case and being a 9 dot with that stamp I think makes it 1981 but might have got that wrong….both really solidly made. The Kabar will most probably get more pocket time …..
