Oh Charlie...yes, I do recognize him! That's terrible news! such a short life, I am so so sorry to all who knew Brian.![]()
Beside his personality, he had great skill in carving Ivory and Antler!!! We will all miss him!! A generous and personable man!! R.I.P.I can't say that I knew him well, but I recognize his face as one I had seen at the OKCA show a number of times. Very sorry to hear that we won't get to see him in the future.
What a great knife Charlie. Is that the actual guy you shaped your Texas camp knife from?Large Size Camp knife!!! Utica, with a nice curved "Utica" tang stamp!!!View attachment 3014250View attachment 3014251View attachment 3014252View attachment 3014253
At 4 3/4" , this is a good sized Knife!! Utica bone was well respected, back in the day! I think Tony Bose once scored some for a few of his custom knives!!
It was one of a couple!!!What a great knife Charlie. Is that the actual guy you shaped your Texas camp knife from?
Thanks, Duncan!! It's happened a few times - Nothing new under the sun; just variations on a theme!!It’s always great seeing the knife Charlie that inspires you to take those steps toward an actual new beginning of that pattern.
