Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

Some amazing camp knives shown by Waynorth, Gevonovich, johnny twoshoes, and Wazu. And an interesting article posted by Gevonovich. Thanks all!!!

Imperial was an official supplier of Boy Scout knives for a couple of decades after WWII.
Here is a counter display which held six individual boxed knives. This particular model #1996 with the Scout shield molded into the handle was in production from 1958 to 1962.

So cool to see this ! Treasure indeed

Great set there Herder my friend. Imagine being a wee lad and getting a Knife like that gifted to you- man that would have been just awesome!

I have a blue bone Colt camp/scout knife done by SMKW. I bought it just before they lost the license and they are now made under the Marbles brand. Does anyone know how they compare to a Camillus scout knife. They are of course made in China but I believe most authorize scout knives are made there now too.

The Camillus and Colt knives are comparable in quality. For some reason Colt swapped the position of awl and screwdriver in their blade layout.

Herder and Wazu, nice Imperials, both of you!!

I found this picture on an auction site last night, of an Ulster scout knife with a missing bolster. I thought it interesting, as it very clearly shows Schrade’s Swinden key construction.

So that seems to indicate Schrade made Ulster Scouts, after they absorbed Ulster Knife Co. in 1941. I wonder if the tang says U.S.A?
