Let's see your Shadetree

Thank you very much! I see what all the hype is about. They are usable artwork.

Not sure which you mean. I like them both though..lol.
The larger with Evergreen Burlap (darker green) is the Leuku.
The smaller knife with Emerald Burlap (brighter greens) is the EDC II.

They are both amazing, but the Leuku on the Maxipetion looks Sooooo cool. I'm a huge Maxipetion fan - combine that with a couple killer Fiddlebacks - wow.
Thanks for posting!

Wow Bud! I love all the color variety in your collection. My favorites are the Runt & Hiking Buddy (3rd from the bottom L & R) with the old style Emerald burlap. It looks like you are starting an Okonami collection too. Very nice!

I love the Tangerine burlap with black pins Schmittie! That color really pops!

My first Fiddlebacks....one on the way!

Nice choice DB! I am a big fan of the Leuku and the bolstered Evergreen burlap is a classy combo.

I like the lines of that Redhammer knife. Aubrey is putting out some very nice work these days. I hope that he offers some in thinner steel in the future.

I'll be honest and say that all of the Herringbone burlaps are not my favorites. With that said, that Runt looks very cool with the matching paracord.

Two of my most comfortable are also the coolest looking:

Nathan,

These two knives had more influence on my Fiddleback progression than probably any others. I HAD to get a green burlap Bushcrafter after seeing yours. Then came all your write-ups and praise of the Electric Orange Camp Nessie. I searched for months to find one that I liked. To this day, the Bushcrafter and Camp Nessie remain my two favorites. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and experience with us.

Phil

Thank you, Phil. Aubrey truly is putting out some mighty fine work, and the Manta is definitely one my favorite knives out of everything we own, this one is 5/32" CPM 154. He is up for taking custom orders and is simply awesome to work with.

Some great additions to this thread. Vayu, great photo. I rarely use a lanyard but that setup looks perfect.

Nathan, I think many people drool over your Camp nessie. Love seeing photos of it.

Evergreen burlap on a black bolster is a great handle combo. I have one like it, but wouldn't mind it on a more used profile. Seeing some of the fine photos of the bacon burlap makes me want to reconsider some of my handle preferences.

I need to stop being so lazy and get an updated post with my burlap collection.

I happened to catch a little spider on my CS Camp by luck!:D

Left out the coffee burlap KPH in the group pic by mistake.:grumpy: The Sneaky Pete and KPH are 5/32" CPM 154 Tapered Tang!

I have all types of material as handles on my Fiddlebacks: Blackwood, Bocote, Oak, Canvas, G10, etc. Love 'em all. But my favorite has to be the Shadetree Burlaps.

I'm guessing I'm not the only one that digs them, so let's see whatcha got.

I'll kick us off.

THAT is a nice looking knife! Does anyone happen to know if Andy gets these colored micarta pins (like the orange ones here) from shadetree? There has been discussion of how to make them in the knife making area and I love to know where these were obtained. Also, speaking of shadetree, does anyone know the resin these guys use to make their 'mycarta'? Thanks in advance!

Those are not orange pins. They are tan canvas. The lighting in that pic just makes them appear to be orange.

I'm glad you like it ChristoDart, one of my favorites.

Kal-El is correct. The pins match the natural canvas liner, not the orange spacer.

Fiddleback almost always matches the pins to the liner and they use black and natural almost exclusively. Occasionally stainless and mosaic pins are used. On some old school ones you'll find different pins.
