Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Beautiful knife Buzz. I have a sow belly in bonestag, and I agree with you about it filling the hand.
The wharncliffe secondary is just icing on the cake for this trapper

I'm very happy with the blade compliment on this Mini-Trapper. The size and shape of the clip blade will be just right for cleaning brook trout once fishing season opens, and I really admire the shape of the wharncliffe. I normally prefer the more broad tip of a sheepsfoot or coping blade as a secondary, but Case did a first-rate job of making the wharncliife nice and pointy, but without causing the tip to become too fragile.

Here's my second new Mini-Trapper, this one in yellow Delrin with cap lifter. Same excellent fit and finish. The cap lifter model will most likely be dedicated to our family cabin in the Adirondacks, where much craft beer is consumed. I've used Beer Scouts at camp before, but have always been afraid of losing them, as they are passed from person to person in need of a new beverage. This one should be less precious in case of loss, and easier to locate on the forest floor. It also very damp up there, so the stainless steel will be much appreciated.

I agree with the comments recently made about the CV Sowbelly Stockman. It is a heck of a knife. I also believe Case’s current Chestnut Jigged Bone should stand the test of time. Many years from now, people might admire it like we admire the old Redbone today.

You are correct @JOLLYTIME715 , these are hard to get, (and not cheap!), but, hopefully, it will turn out to be a good buy in the long run.

Dad gave me this old Case on my road trip last week. It was pretty gunked up with rust but 30 minutes of elbow grease got the blades snapping open and closed pretty well.

The tang reads 62087. Not sure where it came from since I don’t ever remember seeing it as a kid. It could have been my other Grandpa’s knife but I’m not sure. I know he always had a knife on him but never paid any attention to what it was, but now I really wish I had. He was a farmer and a carpenter and I can remember him using a knife on many occasions. It looks like it spent time in a window sill or something with the one side faded noticeably. It’ll be a good user for sure!

These two just came today. I'm not sure how I feel about a shield on a Barlow, but otherwise they're really nice. The f & f is good, the liners & springs are tight, and the snap is good on both blades. Case did good a good job on these!

I could live with the shield on bone stag. It looks like the busy bone does a good job of keeping shield from getting too much attention.

Now if Case used the bolster on bone stag, it would be legendary.
